Bottom line

Harry HU/Adobe Exterior of house

We can take away several lessons from the millionaires who own homes like these, such as knowing what you want and going after it. Unless you’re Warren Buffet, these homes are probably out of reach of most of us, but enjoying a little daydream can be a nice break from the pressure of everyday life and give you food for thought when it comes time to buy your first or second home.

Methodology

To compile this list, we used Zillow.com and searched houses sold in the last 6 months by state, with a "sold only" status, and a price range of $900,000+.
