What is Visa Infinite?

3 minute read | 7/12/18July 12, 2018

Have you ever heard of a Visa Infinite® card?

First, a disclaimer

The first thing to remember is Visa does NOT actually distribute or issue credit cards. Ever.

Visa is simply a network that processes payments between merchants and banks when a customer like you purchases something with your card.

Your credit card is actually issued by a bank, such as Chase or City National Bank.

Yes, Visa and other payment-processing networks usually offer cardholders added perks, but it's, in fact, the bank that has more say over the perks of a particular credit card.

That said, Visa Infinite® cards are awesome.

Still new to the US

The Visa Infinite program isn't very well known in the US. It's been available in Canada, Asia and Australia but only has 4 available cards:

Remember, each Visa Infinite® card is slightly different because the bank who issues the card offers their own benefits.

But here are the general benefits to share just how amazing they are with you:

Visa Infinite® Hotel Privileges

You'll enjoy special benefits from leading hotels. For example, a VIP welcome and complimentary breakfast at select properties with Relais & Chȃteaux, a prestigious association of approximately 500 luxury properties worldwide. Now, wouldn't that be nice?

Visa Infinite® Discount Air Benefit

You'll save $100 on air travel using your Visa Infinite® card to book a qualifying US domestic round-trip in coach for 2 to 5 travelers through the Visa Infinite® Discount Air Benefit website.

Visa Infinite® Car Rental Privileges

You'll enjoy special discounts, upgrades, and privileges when you use your Visa Infinite® Credit Card to book with Avis, National, and Silvercar.

Visa Infinite® Exclusive Events

Score an invite to an exclusive Visa Infinite-sponsored lifestyle event or lounge, such as the one recently at Toronto International Film Festival!

Visa Infinite® Luxury Hotel Collection

You'll receive the best available rate guarantee, automatic room upgrade upon arrival, and free in-room Internet (when it's available). You'll also receive a complimentary continental breakfast, 3 pm check-out (when available), VIP Guest status, and a credit for $25 for food and beverages.

Now that you know why the Visa Infinite® is so great, it's important to note that these benefits are under the Visa Infinite® program and that banks like Chase will add their own benefits on top of them.

Additional benefits often include Priority Pass lounge access, airline credits, and additional hotel benefits.

Visa Infinite® Concierge

Access to the Visa Infinite Concierge who can help you with requests like dinner reservations, Broadway, music, and sporting event tickets* (see Reserve terms here).
