15 Disney Park Purchases That Will Cost You More (#6 Really Hurts)

Want to spend a week with Mickey, Minnie, and the whole gang? That weeklong Disney trip will now cost an average of $6,000 on the frugal end to $15,000 — and that price seems to be rising each year.

Food and beverage prices at all Disney parks increased in October 2023, and ticket prices will increase in 2025. But those aren’t the only Disney products that will put your best travel credit cards through the wringer.

Here are 15 things that have recently risen in price across Disney’s parks, cruises, streaming services, and more.

For those who love this sweet, tangy, and quintessentially Disney treat, prepare to pay a little more this year. The price of the iconic pineapple Dole Whip has increased by $0.50 to $5.79.

Planning a romantic dinner at one of the adult-exclusive restaurants on your next Disney Cruise? The price was already a splurge at $125 a person, but now it’s gone up to $135, putting it on par with many Michelin-star restaurants.

If you enjoy the flexibility of using Disney Vacation Club points across properties, you’ll spend more per point. 

For example, at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, you’ll pay $239 per point, an increase of $9 over last year. But if you have points to spare, you can make money on resale.

Plan on watching the rest of The Mandalorian? Get ready to pay more for Disney+ this year. The monthly streaming fee for Disney+ increased from $10.99 to $13.99 in 2024.

While another increase is coming in 2025, the price increase already has some Disney fans reeling. Since 2019, a peak holiday season Disney World one-day ticket has increased 47%.

Disney devotees were always big fans of the free FastPass system, which let them rush to the front of the line of their favorite rides. But all good things must come to an end, and FastPass has been sunsetted in lieu of Genie+, which starts at $25 per day.

No trip to Disney is complete without a set of mouse ear headbands, but don’t expect to get a deal on this branded souvenir. The classic headbands have increased by 17% in price since 2022.

Need a quick snack at the park and feel tempted by the fun Mickey-shaped pretzel? Just remember, this is probably the most expensive pretzel you’ll have all year, especially since the price increased from $7.49 to $7.79.

The Disney Dining Plan was reintroduced in 2024, and it’s already looking at a price increase for 2025. It’s increasing by $2.13 to $59.14, which makes a difference when every penny counts.

Planning to valet park your car at Disney World? It’s turning into a splurge as valet prices have increased from $33 to $39 in 2024. Regular parking, however, has not increased.

Partaking in the classes and seminars offered on a cruise ship is one of the fun ways to add interest to your days at sea. But, if you’re on a Disney Cruise, expect to pay up to 40% more this year for classes.

If you need a MagicBand, be prepared to spend a lot of money. Depending on the level of style and design you’re looking for, your MagicBand or MagicBand+ could now cost up to $64.99.

A cold beer or a spicy margarita might sound like the perfect beverage after a long day of sun and fun, but be ready to open your wallet a little wider. Prices on alcoholic drinks are increasing up to $2 across parks.

Despite all the price increases, there is one new perk for Disney fans that could help you keep more money in your wallet. All guests staying at a Disney Resorts property now get access to a water park on the day they check-in.
