Doug Woodall

Doug Woodall is a fact checker for FinanceBuzz and holds two bachelor’s degrees — one in Marketing and another in Finance — from the University of Utah and a Master of Professional Communications with an emphasis in writing from Westminster University. Before retiring, he spent more than 30 years in property and casualty insurance claims management with three insurance companies.

Now retired, he writes poetry and is an award-winning storyteller who participates in public readings and storytelling events. He lives near the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, where he enjoys hiking, cycling, and spending time in and on the water.
