Atlanta has lively food, art, and cultural scenes. Throw any attempt at calorie counting out the window as the foods with Southern roots will fill your stomach and your soul! There are many southern classics to try, including BBQ, chicken and waffles, and peach cobbler. The numerous museums the city has to offer can easily fill a few days with their offerings on Atlanta history, science, and more.

Both the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC play their home games at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The other professional sports teams in the region are the Atlanta Braves (MLB) and Atlanta Hawks (NBA). The sports energy is electric, with locals rallying behind their favorite teams.

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is the primary public transportation operator in the Atlanta metro area. MARTA offers bus, subway, and rail services. Vine City is the closest stop to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. However, renting a car or using a rideshare service would also work for transportation to the stadium for FIFA matches.

Summer weather in Atlanta is often hot and muggy. A few thunderstorms are also possible during the summer months. However, it's best to check the forecast each day for specific details.

In 1862, the Oneida Football Club was established in Boston, and it was one of the first organized football clubs outside of England. Boston is a huge sports town, home to the Red Sox (MLB), who play at Fenway Park in the city's Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood, as well as the Boston Celtics (NBA) and the Boston Bruins (NHL), both of which play at T.D. To get to Gillette Stadium, driving is your best bet, and there's plenty of parking, both free and paid. You may also choose to take a rideshare if you don't want to drive. Philadelphia has a long-standing history as the "Birthplace of America," since the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philly on July 4, 1776, at what is now Independence Hall (formerly the Pennsylvania State House). 2026 marks the 250th Birthday of the United States, so the city will be in full celebration mode during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

In addition to Independence Hall, other iconic buildings around the city include the Philadelphia Museum of Art, famous for its steps that Rocky Balboa ran up in the 1976 movie "Rocky," Carpenters' Hall, which was the meeting place of the First Continental Congress, and Boathouse Row, a series of 19th-century boathouses along the Schuylkill River.

Aside from its history, sports are a big deal here in Philadelphia, with a fiercely loyal and passionate fan base, palpable to anyone who has attended a sporting event in the city. The open-air Lincoln Financial Field is the home stadium of the Philadelphia Eagles, who won the 2025 Super Bowl. Cash rewards strategy: How to maximize every dollar

As an Official Bank Sponsor of FIFA World Cup 2026™, Bank of America offers a strategy to maximize your cash rewards in the form of cash rewards credit cards. There are two options: the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Visa® credit card or Bank of America® Unlimited Cash Rewards Visa® credit card.

When using your Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Visa® credit card, choose either "travel", "dining", "gas/EV charging," or another category you feel you'll spend the most money on as your 3% cash back category before traveling to one of the FIFA host cities. However, the cash reward percentage is 6% for the first year in the category of your choice, which puts more money in your pocket.

You'll also earn 2% at grocery stores and wholesale clubs (on the first $2,500 in combined choice category/grocery store/wholesale club purchases each quarter). There's also a welcome offer where you can earn a $200 online cash rewards bonus after you make at least $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days of account opening.

Tips to build your perfect itinerary

Once you book your FIFA World Cup 2026™ tickets through the lottery system or when they become available to the public, you should book your flights, hotels, and car rentals (if applicable) as soon as possible. Flight prices are bound to increase to and from each host city as the FIFA World Cup 2026™ approaches, so setting up notifications for price drops is important if you have a budget to stick to. Once your fight dates are secure, choose a hotel. The earlier you can book a hotel, the better, as many are bound to sell out, especially budget-friendly hotels closest to the stadiums.
