Harbor Freight is the often overlooked home improvement chain that utilizes a direct-to-consumer business model that allows customers to purchase tools and hardware at lower prices. The retail chain has 1,600+ locations throughout the U.S. and is continuing to expand.

California

Carmichael: 7241 Fair Oaks Blvd. (Aug. 2026)
Redlands: 1678 W. Redlands Blvd. (Now open)

The new California locations for Harbor Freight have added about 25-30 new jobs to the community. Local residents are pleased to have closer options for purchasing tools, and have kept the grand openings busy with customers.

Florida

Orlando: 7403 W. Colonial Drive
Orlando: 912 Lee Road

The new Harbor Freight locations are expected to create roughly 10-15 new jobs in each community, and are set to open this summer. Official grand opening dates have yet to be announced.

Georgia

Cordele: 907 E 16th Ave.

Associates for the new Harbor Freight location are now being hired, according to promoted posts on LinkedIn. The anticipated pay rate for seasonal employees is $15 per hour.

Michigan

St. Johns: 1043 S. Highway 27

A company spokesperson told The Flint Journal the new location is expected to open in late August or early September. "We're very excited. We've been looking for a St. Johns location for a while now but we always believe in waiting until we find a location that meets our needs and the needs of our customers: good visibility, easy access, ample parking and the right square footage," they said.

Missouri

Warrensburg: 721 N. Charles St.

The new Harbor Freight in Warrensburg is scheduled to open this month, although as recently as earlier this month the public was still looking for a specific date on social media. Residents previously had to commute to Sedalia or Lee's Summit to visit the home improvement and automotive chain.

Ohio

Fairlawn: 4020 Medina Road

The new Harbor Freight is located by World Market and Dick's Going, Going, Gone! store. This is the third store for the chain in Summit County, with the other two being in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls.

South Carolina

Lexington: 732 W Main St. (Now open)

The newest Harbor Freight in Lexington opened downtown last month, in a high-traffic shopping center that also features a Wingstop and Food Lion supermarket. An estimated 40,000 vehicles travel down that section of West Main Street, so it's a convenient location for shoppers looking to up their tool game.

Tennessee

Hendersonville: 291 New Shackle Island Road (Now open)

Local residents welcomed the new store on July 7. Customers can shop Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Texas

Crockett: 1002 E. Loop 304
El Paso: 5026 Montana Ave.

The new Crockett location began interviewing last month for associates to help set up the store. The El Paso store underwent a major renovation estimated to cost a total of $1,600,000, and altered a previous commercial space into a retail location. It is expected to open in October.

Gloucester: 6571 Market Drive (Now open)

The new Harbor Freight is located in a building previously occupied by Big Lots in the Shoppes at Gloucester, off Route 17. Local residents are pleased to have affordable and convenient access to professional-quality tools and equipment in the Middle Peninsula area.
