If your idea of a balanced diet includes a generous smattering of chicken fingers and Texas toast, Raising Cane's has good news for you. The brand is opening outlets across the country this month as part of an aggressive growth strategy in 2026.

If you're already a Raising Cane's aficionado or you're just curious about the hype, these restaurants could very well give you a good reason to go out to eat more. Here's where the chicken chain is opening new locations or remodeling existing outlets.

Where has Raising Cane's opened locations already in August?

Novi, Michigan welcomed its sixth Cane's, while Rocky Mount, North Carolina got a new one east of Raleigh. California is also getting plenty of love, as Raising Cane's opened on Sunset and Western in Los Angeles on August 4, followed by a Moorpark Road location in Thousand Oaks on August 10.

Raising Cane's is giving some favorites a facelift

Raising Cane's is giving a few existing outlets a much-needed makeover, too. Four remodeled locations are set to reopen this month with new and improved facilities.

On August 17, the Las Vegas Boulevard location in Sin City and the Nicholasville Road restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky, will welcome customers again. Then, on August 24, the Hamilton Road location in Gahanna, Ohio, is up.

Southern California

Fontana is getting its own Raising Cane's, with the new restaurant at 16940 Slover Avenue scheduled to open August 17. It's the second of four California openings this month, following the August 10 debut in Thousand Oaks.

Raising Cane's already has a huge California cadre, with 142 total across the state. The expansion comes on the heels of the chain's 1,000th restaurant total, which opened on Hollywood Boulevard in March.

Alabama

Tuscaloosa will get its first freestanding Raising Cane's when it turns the lights on at 1241 McFarland Boulevard East on August 24. It's the newest addition to a revitalization project with longtime roots in the community. A Wing Zone used to occupy the space.

The other location in Tuscaloosa is on the University of Alabama campus and has been there for over 10 years, showing promising precedent.

Georgia

Raising Cane's has 14 restaurants in Georgia, and the location opening on 24087 US-80 in Statesboro is set to become the newest addition to the chicken chain's holdings in the state. Doors are set to open on August 24, and one lucky winner will win free food for a year.

This follows the opening of the Raising Cane's in Albany, Georgia on July 21.

Northern California

Two new Raising Cane's are in development in San Francisco, which will be the first in the City by the Bay. On August 24, 211 Jefferson Street plans to open, catering to the many folks who visit the famed Fisherman's Wharf area. Not surprisingly, there's an In-N-Out just a block away.

A second Raising Cane's is poised to set up shop at 255 Winston Drive.

Which states don't have Raising Cane's yet?

These August additions won't add a new stamp to the Raising Cane's passport just yet, but the chicken purveyor has made its ambitions known. Previously, it said that it wants a restaurant in every state and all major U.S. cities.

For now, though, six states are still waiting for their first outlet to turn on the lights: Maine, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming remain Caneless as of August 2026.

The Raising Cane's blueprint for 2027

The expansion isn't stopping when the calendar flips to 2027. Rather, Rohnert Park and Napa in Northern California are among the places expected to welcome new Raising Cane's next year.
