The west coast burger chain with a cult-like following is expanding. In-N-Out Burger is bringing eight new locations to seven different states in its eastward expansion. The fast food chain is predominantly in the California market.
However, they have been expanding outward into other states in recent years, so new demographics are able to experience their burgers and "Animal Style" fries. If you've got a future In-N-Out coming to your town, stretch your fast food budget now and make some room to try something new when they open.

California
- Commerce: 6233 Telegraph Ave.
- Stockton: 10537 Trinity Parkway
The new In-N-Out location in Commerce broke ground in December 2025 and is scheduled for opening sometime this year. The community is excited for the fresh energy and new jobs that the new and beloved burger chain is going to bring to their area.
Stockton's new location is joining a new Dutch Bros and Chick-fil-A opening at the Trinity Parkway site. California already boasts the highest number of In-N-Out locations, but it seems its residents can't get enough.
Colorado
- Timnath: 4911 Cima Vista Drive
Colorado only has 14 In-N-Out locations currently, but it is proving to be a good expansion ground for the burger chain. There is no opening date as of yet, but it is expected to open this year. The site is going to be 3,860 square feet of space and is just off Interstate 25 (south of Fort Collins).
There are also concept review plans submitted for a new location in Broomfield that would bring a similarly sized location with an additional 1,400 square feet of outdoor patio space if approved. This site concept is going to be reviewed by the Broomfield City Council and a land use review commission.
Idaho
- Twin Falls: 1965 N. Blue Lakes Blvd.
A special-use permit was approved by the City Council in 2024, but an opening date has not yet been provided. This is going to be the state's fourth In-N-Out Burger location. This location may have been further behind in development, but it seems to be moving forward more quickly now after planning delays.
Reports indicate the construction appears to be nearly complete, but local residents are still unsure whether this was the best spot for the burger chain to build a new restaurant.

Oregon
- Hillsboro: 11170 N.E. Evergreen Parkway.
The new In-N-Out in Hillsboro could be up and running by late summer. However, locals are concerned about traffic safety issues. The site is in the Tanasbourne Town Center and already suffers from heavy congestion, which the locals fear is going to be worse with the addition of a popular fast food restaurant.
Both the city and representatives of In-N-Out have said they are working together to address appropriate traffic flow and safety concerns.
Nevada
- Las Vegas: 3747 S. Las Vegas Blvd., #322
The new Vegas location is said to be the largest In-N-Out, and is next to the MGM Grand, inside the new BLVD shopping and entertainment development. It is expected to be 8,000 square feet with a 2,500 square foot dining terrace that overlooks the Strip, meaning customers could get dinner and a show while dining there.
Rumors suggested this site would be three stories. However, the reality is that it is one-story on the third floor of a large shopping center.
Utah
- St. George: 4643 S. Pioneer Road
The new In-N-Out is going to be situated in a popular "gateway" stop for the millions of tourists that visit Zion National Park each year. It's estimated that the prime real estate is positioned to capture more than half of the travelers who visit the national park by vehicle. St. George is often considered the last "taste" of civilization before entering the red rocks of the desert, and now that flavor is going to be distinctly In-N-Out.
Tennessee
- Madison: 1900 Gallatin Pike N.
Middle Tennessee is excited to bring another In-N-Out to its state. The new location is hiring at a starting wage of $17.50, and the opening is expected to bring large crowds and out-of-state travelers to try out the California-based burger chain.
This is going to be the fifth location in the state, and it does not yet have an opening date announced. A new corporate office is also heading to Tennessee to help facilitate further expansion into new geographic markets.
Bottom line
In-N-Out isn't done expanding and has plans to open a corporate headquarters in Tennessee to support its eastward expansion efforts. In a few years, the East Coast may be able to munch on Californians' favorite burgers and Animal Style fries, too. The move to Tennessee has received public pushback.
However, the company believes this move is going to be good for their employees and associates who could better afford housing outside of California without the need for a side gig to earn extra income outside of work.
