The west coast burger chain with a cult-like following is expanding. In-N-Out Burger is bringing five new locations to two different states as it continues to grow. The fast food chain is predominantly in the California market.

However, they have been expanding outward into other states in recent years, so new demographics are able to experience their burgers and "Animal Style" fries. If you've got a future In-N-Out coming to your town, stretch your fast food budget now and make some room to try something new when they open.

Learn everything we know about the new locations so far, plus the In-N-Out restaurants that opened their doors in recent months.

1. California

  • Chino: 8245 Pine Ave.
  • Commerce: 6232 Craig Ln.
  • Stockton: 10537 Trinity Parkway
  • South El Monte: 1221 Santa Anita Ave.

California already boasts the highest number of In-N-Out locations, but it seems its residents can't get enough. All four of these locations are listed as "coming soon" on In-N-Out's website.

Stockton's new location is part of the Trinity Parkway site that also includes a new Dutch Bros, which is already open, and a planned Chick-fil-A. In-N-Out's real estate director said the company planned to open the Stockton restaurant in early October, with the Commerce location following later this fall. The community is excited for the fresh energy and new jobs that the beloved burger chain is going to bring to the area.

The Chino and South El Monte locations are expected to open by early 2027. The Chino restaurant will be Chino's second In-N-Out and will sit near the Town Center at The Preserve, with 74 indoor seats and 60 outdoor seats. In South El Monte, construction on the 3,886-square-foot drive-thru restaurant began in April, and city staff expect it to open in November.

2. Tennessee

  • Hendersonville: 100 N. Anderson Lane

Middle Tennessee is excited to bring another In-N-Out to its state. The Hendersonville location will be a 3,887-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru, and it does not yet have an opening date announced.

It will join In-N-Out's growing list of Tennessee restaurants, which already includes locations in Lebanon, Antioch, and Madison. A new corporate office is also heading to Tennessee to help facilitate further expansion into new geographic markets.

Recent In-N-Out Openings

In-N-Out has been busy over the past few months. If you live in one of these areas, you no longer have to wait for a taste of a Double-Double. Here are the locations that recently opened their doors.

1. Colorado

  • Timnath: 4911 Cima Vista Drive

The Timnath location opened June 25, becoming Colorado's 15th In-N-Out and the third in Northern Colorado. The site is 3,860 square feet and sits in the Ladera development just off Interstate 25 (south of Fort Collins), proving the state is a good expansion ground for the burger chain.

There are also concept review plans submitted for a new location in Broomfield that would bring a similarly sized location with an additional 1,400 square feet of outdoor patio space if approved. This site concept is going to be reviewed by the Broomfield City Council and a land use review commission.

2. Idaho

  • Twin Falls: 1965 N. Blue Lakes Blvd.

After a special-use permit was approved by the City Council in 2024 and some planning delays, the Twin Falls location opened July 24. Local police prepared a detailed traffic plan for opening day to handle the expected crowds.

The restaurant has one drive-thru lane, indoor seating for 84 guests, and covered patio seating for 28. It's also expected to employ about 90 people at a starting wage of $17.50 per hour.

3. Oregon

  • Hillsboro: 11170 N.E. Evergreen Parkway.

The new In-N-Out in Hillsboro opened June 18 in the Tanasbourne Town Center, on the former Barnes & Noble site. Some fans camped out overnight to be first in line. It's the first In-N-Out on the Oregon side of the Portland metro area.

Before opening, locals were concerned about traffic safety issues in the already congested shopping center. To address those concerns, the city approved a traffic plan that includes taking orders by hand once the drive-thru line exceeds eight cars, adding traffic control staff when the line reaches 29 cars, and prohibiting drive-thru lines from spilling onto nearby streets.

4. Nevada

  • Las Vegas: 3747 S. Las Vegas Blvd., #322

The new Vegas location opened in early June inside the BLVD shopping and entertainment development on the Strip. It's 8,000 square feet, and the city billed it as the largest In-N-Out location in the world, though local reports noted the Barstow, California, location has more indoor seating.

The restaurant seats about 220 people, including outdoor seating with views of the Strip, meaning customers could get dinner and a show while dining there. There's no drive-thru, but the location does have a store with exclusive merchandise.

5. Utah

  • St. George: 4643 S. Pioneer Road

The new St. George In-N-Out is now open, situated in a popular "gateway" stop for the millions of tourists that visit Zion National Park each year. The roughly 3,900-square-foot drive-thru restaurant sits at Exit 2 off Interstate 15 in the SunRiver area, giving locals an alternative to the busy Washington City location.

St. George is often considered the last "taste" of civilization before entering the red rocks of the desert, and now that flavor is distinctly In-N-Out.

6. Tennessee

  • Madison: 1900 Gallatin Pike N.

The Madison location opened July 10, joining locations in Lebanon and Antioch that opened in 2025. The restaurant hires at a starting wage of $17.50, and the opening was expected to bring large crowds and out-of-state travelers to try out the California-based burger chain.

The restaurant has one drive-thru lane, indoor seating for 84 guests, and a covered patio with seating for 32.

Bottom line

In-N-Out isn't done expanding and has plans to open a corporate headquarters in Tennessee to support its eastward expansion efforts. In a few years, the East Coast may be able to munch on Californians' favorite burgers and Animal Style fries, too. The move to Tennessee has received public pushback.

However, the company believes this move is going to be good for their employees and associates who could better afford housing outside of California without the need for a side gig to earn extra income outside of work.
