Saving money at Sam's Club is easy year-round, which is why so many of us have a membership to the bulk retailer. It doesn't hurt that the store's house brand, Member's Mark, holds its own against stalwart competitors with long-standing reputations.
With soup season officially here (one of my favorite times of year), it's the perfect moment to dig into the comforting, savory bowls that make up Sam'sClub's soup selection. These are the flavors that had me going back for a second helping every time.

Runner Up: Member's Mark Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
Price: $8.98 (on sale from $9.98)
Jumping in with a classic flavor profile, this 2-pack of 24-ounce containers delivers on the richness and creaminess I'd expect. The broth has a marsala-like flavor, and there are plenty of vegetables.
The only thing missing? It could use more chicken to balance the broth and supporting cast.
Runner Up: Member's Mark Loaded Baked Potato Soup
Price: $7.48 (on sale from $8.48)
Two 32-ounce containers of loaded baked goodness? Yes, please. My fellow reviewers appreciate that it's cheaper than Panera and tastes more homemade, thanks to skin-on potatoes.
The soup is also filling and hearty, though it definitely benefits from the addition of hot, crispy bacon bits, ooey-gooey cheese melted on top, and freshly chopped herbs.
Runner Up: Member's Mark Chicken Tortilla Soup
Price: $9.98
This 2-pack of 32-ounce tubs is filled with well-seasoned broth with just the right amount of spice. It's lacking in its promised protein, however, a trend I've noticed with Member's Mark in general.
What takes this soup from good to great is what you add to it in the kitchen: more chicken, crunchy tortilla chips, fresh avocado, cilantro, and more.
Runner Up: Member's Mark Shrimp and Corn Chowder
Price: $9.48 (on sale from $10.48)
Well-seasoned with a balanced flavor profile and just the right amount of seafood essence, I'm a fan of this 2-pack of 24-ounce containers of light chowder.
Satisfied Sam's Club members agree. "It tastes great with loads of shrimp, veggies, and is perfectly spiced," one customer shared.
Runner Up: Member's Mark Tomato Basil Bisque
Price: $8.98 (on sale from $9.98)
I appreciate a tomato soup with the herbaceousness up front, and the basil comes through beautifully in these two 32-ounce tubs.
Close your eyes, and you're at a gourmet deli with a grilled cheese sandwich ready to dunk. It does skew thick, so dilute if you prefer your broth to be less saucelike.
Runner Up: Member's Mark Lobster Bisque
Price: $9.48 (on sale from $10.48)
Normally, I wouldn't buy lobster bisque unless I'm dining at an upscale seafood restaurant that knows how to treat the crustacean properly.
But Sam's Club comes through here, surprisingly, with a soup that's smooth and not overly fishy. The lobster chunks seal the deal, though, of course, I always want more.
Runner Up: Member's Mark French Onion Soup Kit
Price: $9.77
There's something super smart about presenting this 38-ounce serving of soup as a kit: It lets the cheese get gooey and keeps the croutons crunchy. It also keeps your dishes clean.
The broth has a rich, peppery flavor that I, and other reviewers, love. Prep it in the oven (instead of the microwave) for the best results.
Runner Up: Member's Mark Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Price: $7.98 (on sale from $8.98)
Panera might have the reputation for the best broccoli cheddar soup out there, but I'm giving the crown to Sam's Club. You could be fooled in a taste test, but you'll pay more at the former.
The broth is perfectly cheesy, the vegetables are sliced (or julienned) just right, and the flavor is simply delicious.
Winner: Member's Mark Autumn Squash Soup
Price: $9.86
Creamy, sweet, and perfectly autumnal, this soup is Sam's Club's best, and the internet overwhelmingly agrees with me. "Seriously this soup is better than what I get in upscale restaurants," one reviewer gushed.
Fans say it tastes better than homemade, with some complaining that it sold out too fast for them to stock up. What better endorsement is there?

Shopping at Sam's Club is a smart way to save money, and soup season is no exception, especially when their house-brand offerings punch well above their weight.
