Target is kicking off a big expansion, opening 11 new stores across 10 states in July 2026. It's part of its plan to add more than 30 locations this year. The big box juggernaut ultimately hopes to open 300 new stores by 2035 while remodeling more than 130 existing locations in 2026.
Many of the newest stores are bigger than average and boast expanded grocery departments with more fresh food options. If you're looking for new ways to stretch your Target budget, it's a reason to celebrate, especially if one of these stores is opening in your neighborhood.

You can expect typical pickup and delivery shopping services, as well as Starbucks for a quick coffee. Job hunters: 200 new openings are expected.
