Five new warehouses are scheduled to open in October 2026, giving shoppers in several states another opportunity to access the retailer's bulk groceries, household essentials, and member-exclusive services.

What is Costco's expansion plan?

The retailer plans to open 30 or more new warehouses annually over the next five to 10 years, with roughly half expected in the U.S. and the rest overseas.

Costco has 14 new warehouses scheduled to open across the U.S. and Canada in October and November 2026.

Missouri

Address: 10 SE Oldham Parkway, Lee's Summit (October 2, 2026)

Costco members in the southeastern Kansas City area will have a good start to next month. Starting October 2. Costco is opening a new warehouse in Lee's Summit, Missouri, near the Missouri 291 and U.S. 50 interchange, anchoring the growing East Village development.

Construction has been underway throughout the summer, and the new location is expected to include a gas station, tire center, food court, pharmacy, optical department, and hearing aid services.

The Lee's Summit warehouse will add another full Costco location to the Kansas City metro. Its opening comes as Costco also plans to convert its Midtown Kansas City warehouse into a Costco Business Center, which will offer a different selection of products and services.

New York

Address: 4230 Ridge Lea Road, Amherst (October 26, 2026)

After multiple delays, Costco has finally set the opening date of its new warehouse in Amherst, New York. On October 26, shoppers in the Buffalo suburb will have a new place to stock up on groceries at 4230 Ridge Lea Road, where the company opened its gas station on September 4.

The new gas station features eight dual-sided fueling stations, for a total of 16 pumps. Costco members can use the fuel center ahead of the warehouse's scheduled opening.

Kansas

Address: 6200 Mercato Drive, Lawrence (October 29, 2026)

Lawrence residents will soon have a new place to stock up on bulk groceries, household essentials, and Costco favorites. The retailer is opening its new warehouse at 6200 Mercato Drive on October 29, with doors scheduled to open at 8 a.m.

The full-service warehouse will offer much more than its standard grocery and household aisles. Customers will have access to bakery, produce, and floral departments, along with a Tire Center, pharmacy, optical department, hearing aid center, and a gas station equipped with 24 pumps.

Costco is already hiring for nearly 30 positions at the new location, including jobs in the deli, bakery, tire center, and pharmacy. A membership pop-up is also open at 4821 Sixth St., Suite O, for residents who want to sign up before the warehouse opens.

Texas

Address: Grandscape, near Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard, The Colony (October 2026)

Costco is adding another warehouse option for shoppers in the growing North Texas area, with the upcoming opening of a 155,000-square-foot store in The Colony, Texas, this October. The store will be located in Grandscape, near the corner of Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard.

The company is currently hiring for various positions, including warehouse staff and other store roles, through its website. Although the opening is scheduled for October, Costco has not yet announced an official grand opening date.

California

Address: Camarillo Town Center, west end of Camarillo (October 30, 2026)

Costco is putting the finishing touches on its long-awaited Camarillo warehouse, with the new store scheduled to open on October 30. Located at the western end of Camarillo Town Center, just south of the 101 Freeway, the 160,000-square-foot warehouse will give local residents a new option for bulk groceries, household essentials, and Costco favorites.

The store will feature several of Costco's familiar services, including an optical department, pharmacy, food court, and approximately 900 parking spaces. The surrounding development also includes a 32-pump gas station, which opened May 1, along with dedicated electric vehicle charging stations.

The Camarillo warehouse has been years in the making. Plans were first submitted to the city in 2022, but legal challenges over environmental reviews delayed the project. Construction moved forward after a California appeals court sided with the city earlier this year.
