These 14 Cities Are Getting a New Costco This Fall (Is Yours One?)

Costco is expanding across the country, and your zip code might be on the list.

If you're a fan of bulk shopping, $1.50 hot dogs, and Costco's famous rotisserie chicken, a new warehouse nearby can make that membership a lot more useful.

Costco has been adding new locations across the U.S., with six warehouses opening in August and more stores scheduled for this fall, and your state might just be on the list.

If you want to get more out of your Costco membership, read on to see whether your state is on the list. Here's where Costco is expanding and planning new locations this fall.

Six new warehouses opened in August

Costco had a busy August, with six new U.S. warehouses opening during the month. Here are the states that got a new warehouse:

Albany, New York: 1701 Western Ave. (Opened Aug. 6)
Oconomowoc, Wisconsin: 1855 Kirkland Way (Opened Aug. 7)
Otsego, Minnesota: 11910 60th Street NE (Opened Aug. 14)
Mansfield, Texas: 1500 S. U.S. 287 (Opened Aug. 25)
Celina, Texas: 3445 S. Preston Road (Opened Aug. 26)
Stone Mountain, Georgia: 1915 West Park Place Boulevard (Opened Aug. 27)

Costco is planning to open 14 new locations across the U.S. and Canada this fall, although the retailer has yet to announce specific opening dates for many of these stores. Five are scheduled for October, followed by nine in November, including four in Canada.

Lee's Summit, Missouri

Address: 10 SE Oldham Parkway
Opening: October 2, 2026

The new Lee's Summit Costco is under construction near the Missouri 291 and U.S. 50 interchange and will anchor the growing East Village development. The full-service warehouse is expected to include a gas station, Tire Center, food court, pharmacy, optical department, and hearing aid services.

The Colony, Texas

Address: Grandscape, near Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard
Opening: October 2026

Costco is building a 155,000-square-foot warehouse at Grandscape in The Colony. The company is hiring for store positions, but it has not yet announced an exact grand opening date.

Amherst, New York

Address: 1 Walden Galleria, Space G209
Opening: October, 28, 2026

The Amherst warehouse will serve the Buffalo area and is expected to give the region its first Costco. Costco has since confirmed an Oct. 28 opening date for the location.

Lawrence, Kansas

Address: The Mercato, near the northwest corner of Entrada and Mercato Drive
Opening: October 2026

Construction is underway on a new Costco that will anchor The Mercato, a mixed-use development in west Lawrence. The full-service warehouse will include a bakery, produce and floral departments, Tire Center, and a 24-pump gas station. The development will also include a new Truity Credit Union and Braum's location, adding to the retail growth in western Lawrence.

Camarillo, California

Address: 431 W. Ventura Blvd.
Opening: October 30, 2026

Costco's new Camarillo warehouse is nearing completion at the western end of Camarillo Town Center, just south of the 101 freeway. The approximately 160,000-square-foot store will include a pharmacy, optical department, food court, and other Costco services, with about 900 parking spaces. The development's 32-pump gas station opened May 1, while the warehouse is scheduled to open October 30. Legal challenges delayed the project after plans were first submitted in 2022.

South Meridian, Idaho

Address: Southeast corner of Meridian Road and Lake Hazel Road
Opening: November 2026

Construction is well underway on Costco's roughly 200,000-square-foot warehouse and attached distribution center, along with a 16-pump gas station and planned parking for about 900 vehicles. The store is expected to serve shoppers in South Meridian and nearby Kuna, and it will become the second Costco in Meridian, joining the existing North Meridian location.

Vallejo, California

Address: Admiral Callahan Lane and Turner Parkway
Opening: November 2026

The Vallejo opening will expand Costco's presence in the North Bay. Costco already operates a warehouse at 198 Plaza Drive in Vallejo, so this project represents additional capacity for the area rather than a first entry into the city.

Chandler, Arizona

Address: Southwest corner of Pecos Road and Alma School Road
Opening: November 2026

Chandler is scheduled to get a new Costco Business Center in November. The Business Center format carries a broader selection of products geared toward businesses while remaining open to Costco members.

Newport News, Virginia

Address: 12121 Jefferson Ave.
Opening: November 2026

The Newport News project will replace Costco's existing warehouse in the city, which has been there since 1988. The company is building a larger warehouse nearby, allowing Costco to expand the location while remaining in the same market.

Franklin, Wisconsin

Address: 2710 W. Drexel Ave.
Opening: November 2026

Costco is building a 164,000-square-foot warehouse at the northwest corner of West Drexel Avenue and South 27th Street. The project also includes a 12-pump gas station and 868 parking spaces. Construction began in May, following final project approvals in November 2025, and Costco plans to open the store in November 2026.

Northeast Edmonton, Alberta

Address: Manning Town Centre area, northeast Edmonton
Opening: November 2026

Costco is developing a new warehouse in northeast Edmonton as part of its continued Canadian expansion. The project will replace the smaller Costco nearby with a larger location.

Lloydminster, Alberta

Address: 75 Avenue and 19 Street
Opening: November 2026

Lloydminster is about to welcome its first Costco warehouse. The approximately 160,000-square-foot store is planned for 75 Avenue and 19 Street and is expected to open in November 2026. The location will serve shoppers in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

East Windsor, Ontario

Address: Tecumseh Road East and Catherine Street
Opening: November 2026

East Windsor is getting a second Costco. CTV News Windsor says Costco has confirmed the store will open on November 20, 2026. The new warehouse, at Tecumseh Road East and Catherine Street, will be larger than Costco's existing Walker Road location and will include a tire center, pharmacy, optical lab, bakery, food court, hearing aid center, and a larger gas bar.

Wasaga Beach, Ontario

Address: 345 Lyons Court, Wasaga Beach, Ontario
Opening: November 2026

The Costco project in Wasaga Beach is moving forward after the town issued a building permit in April, clearing the way for construction at 345 Lyons Court. The $50 million, 162,000-square-foot warehouse is expected to create about 370 jobs and will include a tire center, gas bar, and seasonal garden center. Costco is currently targeting a November 2026 opening.

Will every new location be a traditional Costco warehouse?

No. Most will be standard warehouses, but the Chandler, Arizona, location is expected to be a Costco Business Center, which carries more products intended for businesses while remaining open to Costco members.

Are any existing Costco warehouses being replaced?

Yes. The new Newport News, Virginia, warehouse will replace the city's existing location, which has operated since 1988. The northeast Edmonton project will also replace a smaller nearby Costco with a larger warehouse.
