TGI Fridays Is Closing These 36 Locations in 2024

If you are a fan of TGI Fridays and its casual dining, we have some bad news: The popular chain is set to close a whopping 36 locations across the country in 2024.

You'll have one less reason to spend your money — and one more opportunity to get ahead financially. But that is probably a small consolation for those who love the chain’s American grill fare.

Is your favorite lunch spot about to shut its doors for good? Here is a list of the 36 soon-to-close locations.

• 1077 E. Herndon Ave., Fresno

With a few exceptions, most of the TGI Fridays shutting down this year are located on the East Coast. California has the notable distinction of being the only West Coast state to lose a TGI Fridays.

Luckily, Californians are losing just one TGI Fridays location, the Fresno restaurant. Now that the Fresno TGI Fridays has closed, Californians still have 15 restaurant locations they can visit. Unfortunately for Fresno residents, most are in Southern California.

• 8104 Northfield Blvd., Denver
• 125 Ken Pratt Blvd., Longmont

Colorado has lost its two TGI Fridays locations. State residents craving their favorite meal from TGI Fridays now have to head across state lines to check out the one and only TGI Fridays in Oklahoma.

• 3025 Berlin Turnpike, Newington

Now that the Newington location has closed, residents are left with five TGI Fridays locations across the state, one each in the cities of Enfield, Hamden, Orange, Manchester, and Waterbury.

• 24 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach
• 580 N. State Road 7, Royal Palm

While several Florida cities have more than one TGI Fridays, two cities have lost their only location.

With these closures, Ormond Beach and Royal Palms residents now need to travel more than an hour to check out one of Orlando’s six TGI Fridays locations.

• 49 Newbury St., Danvers
• 750 Providence Highway, Dedham
• 280 School St. Suite A100, Mansfield
• 1385 S. Washington St., North Attleboro
• 1105 Fall River Ave., Seekonk

East Coast states are losing the most TGI Fridays locations, including six in Massachusetts.

Now that these locations have closed, Massachusetts has just seven remaining TGI Fridays, including just one in Boston.

• 15207 Major Lansdale Blvd., Bowie

Maryland is losing just two of its TGI Fridays locations. Even with these closures, Maryland still has 16 open TGI Fridays restaurants.

• 124 NH-101A Suite 28, Amherst

At the start of the year, New Hampshire had three TGI Fridays locations, including one in Manchester, one in Concord, and one in Amherst. However, the Amherst location has since closed down.

• 401 Gill Lane, Iselin
• 71 Route 23 South at the Wayne Town Center, Wayne

With these closures, New Jersey lost seven of its TGI Fridays. That is more than any other state.

• 5204 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa
• 5 Centre Drive, Woodbury Township

New York lost five TGI Fridays locations in the most recent round of closures.

Even with these closures, New York has more TGI Fridays locations than any other state. With 22 restaurants, New York barely beats out Florida, which has 20.

• 2500 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove

Pennsylvania lost one of its 16 locations, bringing the state’s total down to 15 following the closure of the Willow Grove restaurant.

• 1105 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands

As big as it is, the Lone Star State has just 10 remaining TGI Fridays locations. So far this year, the state has lost four restaurants, two of them in major metropolitan areas.

• 1160 Carl D Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg
• 7401 Sudley Road, Manassas

Virginia still has 12 TGI Fridays, although the state bid farewell to the four locations above.

If you’ve lost your favorite TGI Fridays location, don’t despair: Except for Colorado, each state that lost a TGI Fridays location still has at least one restaurant location that remains open.

TGI Fridays also reports that it opened up transfer options for 80% of staff members working at the closed locations. So, you just might encounter your favorite server on your next visit.

And if you can't find a new TGI Fridays near you, look on the bright side: You will now have some extra money in your pocket that you can devote to saving instead of going out to eat more.
