11 Costco Products Made in the USA (And Likely Not Impacted by Tariffs)

With all of the constant tariff shifts, it often feels impossible to keep track of what is actually happening right now, but chances are eventually you're going to buy something imported and feel the impact at the register.

Prepare for this hit to your wallet by scoping out what you can buy from Costco that's made in the USA and won't be impacted by tariffs and combine it with Costco shopping hacks to keep your budget as low as possible.

Price: $14.99

Kirkland Signature socks "Made in the USA" flag on the front of the packaging, but that may not be true by the end of year, so it's time to stock up. The North Carolina manufacturing factory where the socks' proprietary moisture-wicking yarn are currently produced is being put up for sale by the parent company.

Production will be consolidated to other facilities identified only as "North and Central America," which doesn't necessarily mean in the U.S. so we'll have to see if Costco continues to make these in the US.

Corn is more American than apple pie, so it should be easy to source without international tariffs. Kirkland Signature labels their microwave popcorn as "Product of the USA".

Kirkland Signature's label keeps the manufacturers of their private label a secret, however a recall notice from 2008 indicated the Costco popcorn was manufactured by ConAgra who has factories in Indiana and Ohio.

Costco keeps their manufacturing partners secret, but in 2016 the CEO let it slip during an interview that Duracell produces Kirkland Signature batteries. Duracell is an American company with many manufacturing facilities within the country, but not exclusively.

Presumably, the American facilities produce for Costco, since the battery packaging indicates it is made here.

Pyrex is a household name in kitchenware, and according to World Kitchen LLC they acquired Snapware in 2010 which led to an expansion of their production facilities, which were located in Pennsylvania and New York but expanded to include California.

The 18-piece set from Costco features Pyrex for the base cookware and Snapware lids that provide airtight and leak-proof protection for storing the leftovers without using additional dishes.

Man's best friend deserves real bone broth, and Nylabone guarantees a grain-free formula that focuses on limited ingredients that support your pup's health.

All Nylabone chew treats are made in the U.S., specifically most are made in a facility in Neptune City, New Jersey. They do have a few products made in China, but that doesn't include the chew toys.

KitchenAid stand mixers were first introduced over 100 years ago and became a home staple during the Great Depression. They're still a leading top name brand in kitchen accessories, and all of their stand mixers are made in Greenville, Ohio—where they have been made since 1941.

Beef jerky is one of the few ways to preserve meat without refrigeration, making it ideal to throw in emergency packs or to stock up on for a rainy day.

Old Trapper Smoked Products has been producing its signature line of handmade beef jerky in Forest Grove, Oregon since 1969. A 10-ounce bag of naturally smoked jerky runs just under $13 and hopefully will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

California currently produces about 80% of the world's almond supply, despite being a water-intensive crop in a high-drought area. Blue Diamond almonds all come from California. They have three locations in Sacramento, Salida, and Turlock.

The manufacturer of Kirkland Signature garbage bags is still a mystery, but at least some of them are made in the U.S. If you like scented bags, well, you're out of luck, but the heavy duty kitchen bags are labeled as made in the USA with 20% post-consumer recycled plastics.

Kirkland Signature baby formula is produced and packaged in Vermont, with nearly all ingredients being American-sourced as well—except coconut oil which is imported. The ingredients are sourced from California, Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Utah, Colorado, and Montana.

Tariffs will likely impact chocolate prices because Hawaii is the only state that can sustain cacao production, but jelly beans are made in America—at least Jelly Belly's are. Jelly Belly factories are located in Fairfield, California and North Chicago, Illinois. They also have a facility in Thailand that produces for other countries.

We live in a global economy, which can make it difficult to find products made and sourced from the U.S. alone. Costco's private label Kirkland Signature doesn't create any of its products, but does try to focus on outsourcing to American companies and products when possible.

This positions Costco to be able to tackle high grocery costs if (or when) tariffs drop.
