Cherry Maple

cherry maple beef jerky

Price: $8.99

This is one of Buc-ee's most popular jerky flavors. It's my favorite flavor and not one that you can find often at other retailers.

Made with brown sugar, maple syrup powder, cherry juice concentrate, and more, the sweetness of the red-tinted jerky balances well with the thick strips of meat.

The jerky is 90 calories, 9 grams of sugar, and 10 grams of protein per ounce in the 4-ounce bag, and it needs to be refrigerated after opening.

Bohemian Garlic

bohemian garlic beef jerky

Price: $8.99

Another crowd-favorite, with a more savory taste than the cherry maple. It has a relatively short ingredient list, including salt, brown sugar, soy sauce powder, and more.

A 1-ounce serving size has 60 calories, 10 grams of protein, and 2 grams of sugar. Bohemian garlic is also the only jerky flavor I've found at my Buc-ee's with a zero-sugar option — just look for the gray label instead of the brown.

Peppered

peppered beef jerky

Price: $8.99

This is one of the simpler options among Buc-ee's creative flavor varieties, but it comes in two different forms: Old Western Style and Hill Country Brand.

The ingredient list for the Old Western Style is simple and classic, featuring salt, sugar, and ground black pepper. The Hill Country Brand jerky leans on brown sugar, salt, red bell pepper granules, and soy sauce powder for a more umami flavor.

Jalapeño Honey

jalapeno honey beef jerky

Price: $8.99

Here's another funky flavor that leans into the spicy and sweet combination. With honey granules, jalapeño flakes, and jalapeño powder, this jerky strikes a balance but leans more toward hot than sweet.

The bag has four servings, each of which is 90 calories, 11 grams of protein, and 7 grams of sugar.

The jalapeño honey is $2.25 per ounce for a 4-ounce bag or $2 for an 8-ounce bag — like all of Buc-ee's jerky — which is 41 cents to 66 cents less per ounce than a bag of Uncle Ervin's Jalapeno Honey Beef Jerky from Scheels.

Hot and Spicy

hot and spicy beef jerky

Price: $8.99

If you like some heat in your jerky, pick up a bag of the hot and spicy beef jerky from Buc-ee's.

The Texas-smoked jerky is 80 calories per serving with 10 grams of protein and 6 grams of sugar. If you opt for the 8-ounce bag, it's 26 cents cheaper per ounce than a bag of the Jack Links Jerky Flamin' Hot Original from Target.

Lemon Peppered

lemon peppered beef jerky

Price: $8.99

For a classic but strong flavor, try the lemon peppered option from Buc-ee's wall of jerky. In addition to the pepper, the lemon peppered jerky is quite zesty and tangy, thanks to the vinegar, citric acid, lemon powder, and lemon oil listed in the ingredients.

The 80-calorie snack is about half the price per ounce of Rickey's Jerky Lemon Pepper Beef Jerky at Walmart.

Korean BBQ

korean bbq beef jerky

Price: $8.99

If you're partial to Korean barbecue, you'll enjoy the flavors of soy sauce and sesame seeds in this beef jerky. At 100 calories and 8 grams of sugar per 1-ounce serving, it's a higher calorie and sugar option than some of the other Buc-ee's jerky flavors.

Righteous Felon Craft Jerky sells a Korean BBQ-inspired jerky that's $6.99 for 2 ounces, compared to Buc-ee's 2-ounce bag for $8.99.

Ghost Pepper

ghost pepper beef jerky

Price: $8.99

This ghost pepper-flavored jerky is Buc-ee's spiciest flavor, and it's made with real ghost peppers.

An ounce of the flaming jerky is 70 calories plus 11 grams of protein, which is 25 fewer calories than J&K's ghost pepper-flavored beef jerky sold at Walmart. And it costs far less at the standard Buc-ee's price of 8.99 for a 4-ounce bag compared to J&K's $19.99 for a 7-ounce portion.

Sweet and Spicy

sweet and spicy beef jerky

Price: $8.99

If you prefer your spicy snacks to be mellowed by a hint of sweetness, then Buc-ee's sweet and spicy beef jerky will tingle your taste buds. It's flavored with a seasoning blend of sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce powder, and more.

You can get 3 ounces of Scorchy's Sweet and Spicy Jerky for $13.99 on Amazon or a 4-ounce bag of sweet and spicy jerky for $8.99 at Buc-ee's.

Mesquite Peppered

mesquite peppered beef jerky

Price: $8.99

This smokey mesquite peppered flavor perfectly complements the thick strips of Buc-ee's jerky that are smoked in Texas.

This unique jerky flavor has a short ingredient list, including brown sugar and natural smoke flavor, and it's just 60 calories per serving. While a 4-ounce bag costs $8.99 at Buc-ee's, a 3-ounce amount of Uncle Ervin's Mesquite Beef Jerky is $7.99 at Scheels.

Teriyaki

teriyaki beef jerky

Price: $8.99

Although a more classic flavor, Buc-ee's teriyaki jerky shouldn't be overlooked. It's flavored with a combination of teriyaki powder, soy sauce powder, and apple cider vinegar, among other ingredients.

At 90 calories and 13 grams of protein per serving, it's a delicious and hearty snack. Plus, the $2.25 per ounce price tag for a 4-ounce bag isn't bad compared to the $3.18 per ounce you would pay for Country Archer Provisions Teriyaki Jerky at REI.

Steakhouse

steakhouse beef jerky

Price: $8.99

While you may not be able to get a steak dinner on the road, you can get a bag of Buc-ee's steakhouse seasoned beef jerky for the road.

Made with worcestershire sauce, this beef jerky has a classic steakhouse flavor, and it's 13 grams of protein per serving. At $8.99 for a 4-ounce bag, it's cheaper than Gentlemen's Best Rosemary Steakhouse Beef Jerky, which is $7.99 for a 2-ounce bag.
