Two of your favorite brands just teamed up on a new line that will make your holidays a little brighter — and a little more affordable. Discount retailer Dollar General and Hallmark recently revealed a new collaboration that could save you some serious cash.

The global Christmas decor market was valued at $12.7 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow at a 5.5% annual rate through 2033, according to Grand View Research. So if you're looking for an easy way to cut your share of the cost and avoid wasting money on overpriced holiday accents, we've got you covered with info on the budget-friendly partnership you never saw coming.

Editor's note: Prices and availability are subject to change and may vary by location.

Why did Dollar General collaborate with Hallmark?

The better question might be, "Why wouldn't Dollar General collaborate with Hallmark?" Or, at the very least, "Why didn't this collab happen sooner?" Natalie McConnell, vice president and division merchandise manager at Dollar General, explains, "Hallmark is one of the most recognized and trusted brands among our customers, making it a natural fit for Dollar General."

McConnell continues, "This collection allows us to offer holiday decor and gifting options from a brand customers know and love at prices that help their budgets go farther." That means you can deck the halls without overspending on expensive items from specialty home stores.

What should shoppers know about the Dollar General-Hallmark collaboration?

To start with, this isn't the same Hallmark holiday decor that you'll find in standalone brand stores or on the company's website. The Simply for You by Hallmark Holiday 2026 Collection is a new bargain-priced line made exclusively for Dollar General shoppers.

With more than 30 themed items priced between $1 and $15, the partnership offers superior value compared to what you could pay elsewhere for similar winter/Christmas merchandise. And that's what sets it apart from Hallmark's usual roster of holiday buys.

The affordable items in this cute collection include a range of products that go well beyond the same basic decor you can find at big-box stores or warehouse clubs. Don't assume the low prices equal poor quality or a limited selection. This line features everything from tiny trees to table linens.

How much does the Simply for You by Hallmark Holiday 2026 Collection cost?

More than 70% of the new Simply for You by Hallmark Holiday 2026 Collection is priced at $5 or less, putting it on par with most of Dollar General's other affordable items.

We browsed the recent launch and found several budget-friendly buys at Dollar General's classic $1 price point, including three different Hallmark Christmas Glass Spice Jars with Shaker Lids and adorable winter-scene block decor. But that's not all.

Two-dollar items include printed oven mitts (Christmas garland, Santas and reindeer, or Christmas trees) and seasonal kitchen towels. For $5, you can snap up a medium-sized flocked tree, mini ceramic tree, a snowman-shaped coffee mug, or a festive holiday-patterned tablecloth.

What are the best new holiday products from Dollar General?

If price is your main criterion, the best new holiday-ready items are the new $1 Simply for You by Hallmark Holiday 2026 Collection deals. But if you're willing to pay a little bit more, here are a few of our favorites.

We're already obsessed with the Hallmark Christmas Ho Ho Ho Stainless Steel Tumbler with Santa Straw Topper ($15). Compare Dollar General's price to $45 for a similar holiday Stanley at Dick's Sporting Goods.

The Hallmark Christmas Ceramic Green Tree Shaped Decor ($5) is another festive find we adore. This interior accent has a nostalgic vibe that only looks expensive. Add this on-trend item to your mantel-top display or use it as a holiday table centerpiece.

Will Dollar General sell other low-priced holiday decor?

Even though shoppers can't get enough of this collab, the discount retailer also has other products to choose from. Dollar General launched this line on September 20. But you'll still see plenty of non-Hallmark holiday items landing on the store's shelves.

We found a bounty of bargains already in stock. Our top picks are the Christmas Theme Soap Dispenser ($1.50), Solar Hanging Light Decor ($1.50), Christmas House Plastic Reindeer ($1.50), a Red Santa Belt Bucket ($1.50), and an assortment of colorful Nutcrackers ($1.50 each).

If your budget has some wiggle room, Dollar General also has wooden Christmas tree and reindeer decor ($3), an LED flame-glow hanging lantern topped with a faux pine sprig ($7), and metal bow and glass lanterns ($3) in stock right now.

Bottom line

In 2025, half of Americans surveyed reported they planned to spend at least $150 on Christmas decorations, according to data from Statista. If a $100-plus expenditure doesn't fit into your end-of-the-year budget, Dollar General and Hallmark's new collaboration provides unprecedented value.

While the partnership offers an easy way to nab everything from Christmas candles to red-and-green photo frames for under $15, these aren't the only bargains we spotted at this dollar store. Pro tip: Tackle high grocery costs and skip specialty stores. Even though Dollar General doesn't sell a Christmas ham, you can still snap up almost everything else on your holiday meal shopping list.
