Raise your hand if you can relate: You walk into a Target to pick up some cleaning supplies and laundry staples. You leave with a cart full of cute clearance clothes, some fluffy new towels, the perfect color lipstick, groceries, and, yes, those staples and supplies.

The "Target Effect" is real, but we don't mind. The deals the store offers can make up for its pull on our purse strings — you can splurge on those throw pillows and still keep cash in your wallet.

Even better, the red box juggernaut is rolling out a new subscription service soon: Target Circle 360. Here's why we're signing up.

Target is a great place to shop

Who doesn't love Target? Its prices are competitive, but it doesn't feel like a Walmart — it's more of a curated, higher-end shopping experience.

Target also carries a wide variety of high-quality items, so you know you're spending your cash on things that will last. We especially like the brand collabs with top partners.

Target also has relatively good customer service and family-friendly policies.

The price is right

Target Circle 360 will cost customers $99 per year, which shakes out to $8.25 per month. That's less than some of us spend on our daily Starbucks order.

Target Circle 360 is cheaper than Amazon Prime, which costs $139 per year, and is nearly identical to Walmart Plus, which costs $98 per year — but we like the perks better.

There's an early bird special

If you sign up between April 7, 2024, and May 18, 2024, your Target Circle 360 plan will only cost you $49. Note that the price increases to $99 after the first year.

That is unless you have a Target credit card. Then, you get to hold onto that sweet, discounted member rate.

There's same-day delivery on certain orders

Arguably, our favorite Target Circle 360 perk is the free delivery on all orders $35 and up. This is Target's answer to Amazon Prime, which also offers free shipping, but Amazon's two-day shipping is hit or miss these days.

If you forget to include everything you need in the first order, don't stress! You can enjoy unlimited free shipping as long as each order exceeds that magic $35 number.

Orders can be shipped from multiple stores

Target Circle 360 is building itself on top of the pre-existing Shipt platform, which Target bought in 2017. That's how they can get deliveries to you fast and free.

This also means that you can use your Target Circle 360 membership to have Shipt deliver from any store they partner with. For more info, check to see which outlets they work with in your area.

You can have items sent to other homes

Need to send a last-minute gift to someone because you forgot a special occasion? Want to help a friend in need with grocery delivery? Target Circle 360 has you covered.

With your membership, you can have deliveries sent to other homes and businesses — not just your own — and the same-day, free delivery policy still applies.

You get all of the Target Circle perks

It makes sense that Target Circle 360 members also get the advantages of the unpaid version of the program, Target Circle.

That includes standard two-day shipping (if you don't need it right away or the order is under $35), 5% off all purchases, and an extra 30 days to return items (on top of Target's generous 90-day policy for non-members).

Bottom line

Target Circle 360 is poised to change the shopping experience for customers who sign up for the program. If you're a frequent shopper in the store, all that free shipping will likely make the membership cost well worth it and help you save money shopping for the things you need — or the things you might not need. It is Target, after all.

That doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to the in-store shopping experience, though, especially if you love stepping into the big red box. You'll still enjoy the many rewards and discounts Target offers its shoppers.
