Outside sales representatives primarily handle customer relations to help companies achieve sales goals. LinkedIn reports that the industries with the highest demand for this role include wholesale building and manufacturing. Additionally, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta have the most job openings.

Those interested in helping businesses adopt more sustainable practices for the environment should consider a pivot to working as sustainability specialists. Industries like tech, architecture, and planning are hiring. New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco are big markets.

According to LinkedIn's data, jobs in security have also been in high demand, particularly in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The top industries are security and investigations, hospitality, and food and beverage services.

These workers plan and design programs for primarily public land. The top industries are civil engineering, architecture and planning, and transportation equipment manufacturing. The current top markets are Washington, D.C., Boston, and Chicago.

These workers are involved in advancing or developing AI technology. LinkedIn's data shows the top roles that transitioned to AI researchers include machine learning engineers and data scientists. Tech hubs like San Francisco, Seattle, and Boston are hiring the most.

Treasury management jobs increased in industries like credit intermediation, tech, and real estate. The workers, who are involved with overseeing their companies' financial assets, were in high demand in New York City, Chicago, and Dallas.

Land agents, who negotiate and manage agreements related to property, land usage, and the like, are in demand in the real estate, oil and gas, and electric power generation industries. Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and Macon, Georgia, are big markets and are great locations if you are looking to build wealth in this field. 

Those with experience writing grants, identifying grant opportunities, and preparing applications could consider a pivot to a high-demand grants consulting gig. Typical industries include nonprofits and business consulting, with New York City, Washington, D.C., and Cleveland being hot markets.

These workers are in high demand in industries like higher education, health and human services, and tech. They work with employers on recruitment initiatives, sometimes to create student internships. Hot markets include Boston, New York City, and Houston.

Bridge engineers ensure bridges are functional, safe, and compliant with regulations. The top jobs transitioning to high-demand bridge engineer roles include project manager, project engineer, and design engineer. New York, L.A., and D.C. were all top hiring locations.

These employees help their companies identify the best investment opportunities and are in high demand in New York City, Chicago, and Boston. LinkedIn's data cites capital markets, real estate, and business consulting as the biggest industries hiring for this role.

The need for research librarians has been growing, with higher education, legal services, and tech being the prominent markets for these workers, according to LinkedIn's data. Boston, New York City, and D.C. are hot markets right now.
