These 14 Cities Are About To Get a Buc-ee’s!

Buc-ee's has a cult-like following for its brisket sandwiches and clean bathrooms.

The Texas-based retail chain has been expanding this year with new locations cropping up across the country. Will one of these spots have you spending money with your best cash back credit cards for brisket?

Here's where you can expect to find a new Buc-ee's.

Ocala, Florida

Buc-ee's still has plans for a massive new travel center in Ocala, but travelers will have to wait considerably longer than originally expected.

The project is planned near Interstate 75 and is tied to major infrastructure work in the area. Earlier projections suggested the store could open as soon as 2025, but that timeline is no longer current.

Buc-ee's now lists Ocala among its locations expected to open in 2029.

Gallaway, Tennessee

Tennessee is set to get another Buc-ee's, this time in Gallaway, northeast of Memphis.

The planned travel center is near Interstate 40 and Tennessee State Route 196. Buc-ee's previously expected the location to open in 2026, but that timeline has changed.

The company now lists Gallaway among its locations expected to open in 2027, and current Buc-ee's job postings say the store is targeting a 2027 opening.

Oak Grove, Kentucky

Kentucky is expected to eventually get another Buc-ee's in Oak Grove near the Tennessee border, but this project has also faced a significant delay.

The travel center is planned near Interstate 24 at Exit 89. Before construction can move ahead, the surrounding area requires major infrastructure improvements, including roadway, bridge, and water-system work.

The store was once expected to open in 2027, but Buc-ee's now projects an opening in 2029.

Fort Pierce, Florida

Another massive Buc-ee's is planned for St. Lucie County near Fort Pierce.

Plans call for the travel center to be built near Interstate 95 and Indrio Road. The proposed project includes a roughly 76,000-square-foot store, around 120 fueling positions, electric vehicle chargers, and hundreds of parking spaces.

Buc-ee's currently lists its St. Lucie location for an estimated 2027 opening, although the company cautions that its projected opening dates can change.

Ruston, Louisiana

Buc-ee's is making progress on its future Ruston travel center, which will give Louisiana its first location from the chain.

Construction is underway along Interstate 20, with crews pouring concrete and completing additional groundwork at the site.

The City of Ruston says the store is expected to span more than 70,000 square feet and include more than 100 fuel pumps. The city currently projects a mid-2027 opening, subject to construction progress.

Boerne, Texas

Buc-ee's is also moving forward with its long-planned location in Boerne, northwest of San Antonio.

The project has been discussed for more than a decade and is planned along Interstate 10 near U.S. Business 87.

The store was previously expected to open in 2026, but Buc-ee's now lists Boerne among its locations scheduled for an estimated 2027 opening. The company has not announced a specific grand-opening date.

Mebane, North Carolina

North Carolina is finally getting its first Buc-ee's.

The company broke ground on the Mebane travel center in June 2026. The location is being built along Trollingwood-Hawfields Road near the Interstate 40 and Interstate 85 interchange and is expected to include a roughly 74,000-square-foot store and 120 fueling positions.

Earlier projections called for a 2027 opening, but Buc-ee's current opening schedule now lists Mebane for 2028.

Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Work has begun on a Buc-ee's travel center in Oak Creek, which is expected to become the chain's first Wisconsin location, helping commuters save money on travel.

The store is being developed near Interstate 94 and Elm Road and is planned to include roughly 73,000 square feet of retail space and 120 gas pumps.

The timeline has slipped from earlier estimates of an early 2027 opening. As of summer 2026, city officials said Buc-ee's was targeting an early 2028 opening, although construction could move more quickly than expected.

West Memphis, Arkansas

While the city has not disclosed an opening date, officials anticipate that construction will break ground in the near future. Originally planned for a 2026 opening, that has been pushed back to 2029.

The planned 74,000-square-foot complex is expected to feature 120 gas pumps and generate approximately 225 new jobs.

Murfreesboro, Tennessee

The facility is planned for the Joe B. Jackson interchange off I-24 and will cover over 70,000 square feet. It will include 120 fuel pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, and a walking trail.

To support anticipated traffic increases, the company is also making infrastructure improvements along Butler Drive and Joe B. Jackson Parkway. Buc-ee's is collaborating with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) on roadway enhancements leading to the site. It is expected to open by December.

Lafayette, Louisiana

According to the news release, the Lafayette Buc-ee's, which is projected to open in mid-2027, will be located at the corner of Louisiana Avenue and I-10. The facility is set to span more than 74,000 square feet and include around 120 gas pumps. It's also expected to bring approximately 150 jobs to the area, with starting pay beginning at $17 per hour.

Monroe County, Georgia

The upcoming Buc-ee's will be constructed just off I-75 at Rumble Road, conveniently located before the I-475 split for those traveling south toward Macon and Savannah. The groundbreaking was hosted on April 7.

The development will encompass a 74,000-square-foot facility set on a 30-acre property. With plans for over 100 fuel pumps, the site is designed to offer ample fueling capacity for both commuters and long-distance travelers. The opening date is tentatively set for 2027.

Kansas City, Kansas

A new Buc-ee's has been confirmed for Kansas City, Kansas, with an expected opening in late 2027 near the Kansas Speedway. The location will include 120 fuel pumps.

Hardeeville, South Carolina

A Buc-ee's is planned for Hardeeville, South Carolina, at Exit 8 off I-95 as part of the larger Hardee Station mixed-use development, with an opening targeted for around 2031.
