Between January and October, more than a million jobs were cut — 1,099,500, to be exact — which means that landing a well–paying remote role isn't just a dream for many, but rather a necessity. With the cost of living rising and layoffs pushing experienced workers into new fields, many people are seeking new roles that offer stability, flexibility, and a salary that can help them move beyond living paycheck to paycheck.

These jobs typically only require a bachelor's degree, and can be done from home since you'll spend a lot of time making calls or visiting offices.

Median annual salary: $100,340

A social scientist studies how people behave, interact, and make decisions — both individually and in groups. Their goal is to identify trends in human behavior and the social systems we create. They use these insights to solve real-world problems in areas like education, health care, and government.

Project management specialist

Median annual salary: $100,750

If you can organize, coordinate, and budget effectively, then a remote project management position might be a good fit for you. These jobs typically require a bachelor's degree, and the employment rate is projected to increase 6% over the next 10 years, which is faster than average.

Management analyst

Median annual salary: $101,190

Efficiency is key for management analysts, who spend their professional day searching for ways to improve an organization's efficiency. Some travel may be involved, but most of the work can be done from a home office.

These roles typically require a bachelor's degree, and are expected to grow 9% over the next decade, which is much faster than most sectors.

Financial analyst

Median annual salary: $101,910

Every business needs reports on financial expenditures to ensure spending is in line with maintaining profitability. These roles require people who love getting the most bang for their buck.

Investment analysts pull in a median of $101,350 each year, while risk specialists tend to earn about $106,000 annually.

Personal financial advisor

Software quality assurance tester

Median annual salary: $131,450
