After years of record-high prices in the post-pandemic used-car market, prices appear to be tilting back in favor of buyers. Well, at least in some segments.
According to a recent iSeeCars study analyzing 2.4 million used vehicles, while the average price of a three-year-old used car has increased by over 40% since the pandemic, the electric vehicle segment continues to see prices fall.
While the Tesla brand has experienced the largest decline in used car prices over the past year, with a price drop of over 8%, electric vehicles aren't the only ones ready to be scooped up at low prices. Land Rover Range Rover Velar
Average Price: $38,940 (Down 7.4% from 2024)
If you've ever wanted to cruise down the highway behind the wheel of a Land Rover, now might just be the perfect opportunity. While the 2025 model starts at over $60,000, used models from the last five years are a steal. Consumers can expect to pay at least $3,000 less for one of these used models today compared to a year ago.
Depreciation has not been kind to this Land Rover. While the typical luxury midsize SUV depreciates at a rate of 54.9%, the Range Rover Velar's depreciation rate is slightly above average at 58.1%. However, what you save in monthly payments, be ready to put back into the gas tank. This SUV is not the most efficient in its class, averaging just 21 to 23 miles per gallon combined.
Chevrolet Corvette - Convertible
Average Price: $84,609 (Down 8% from 2024)
Now is your chance to swipe up an iconic sports car at a steal of a price that's capable of providing that coveted top-down experience. With prices down by 8% year-over-year, consumers can expect to pay over $7,000 less for a used Corvette convertible compared to last year.
Along with securing a solid 8.8 out of 10 iSeeCars reliability rating, the Corvette made a clean sweep in multiple categories. Out of 40 competitors, the Corvette secured the top spot in two iSeeCars categories: Luxury Sports Cars With the Most Horsepower and Most Reliable Luxury Sports Cars.
Lincoln Aviator
Average Price: $42,495 (Down 8.5% from 2024)
Despite prices being down by 8.5% year-over-year and consumers paying nearly $4,000 less for a used Lincoln Aviator compared to the year before, this luxury SUV actually shows a respectable depreciation rate for its class. The typical depreciation rate for all luxury large SUVs sits around 58.5%. In comparison, the Aviator fares slightly better with a depreciation rate of around 54.4%.
Along with a lower price tag for a large-size luxury SUV, the Aviator proves itself a pretty dependable ride: It earned a solid 8 out of 10 iSeeCars safety rating. In terms of longevity, the Aviator's average lifespan is 111,489 miles with a 6.3% chance of reaching at least 200,000 miles during its lifetime.

The Mercedes-Benz, with the ability to seat seven total passengers, remains a standout contender in its class. Jeep Gladiator
Average Price: $34,253 (Down 10.7% from 2024)
The iconic Jeep brand, now in the form of a boxy pickup truck, is down nearly 11%. Buyers are also paying a little over $4,100 less for a used model than they did the year before.
