Registered nurse (RN)
Demand for registered nurses (RNs) is expected to grow steadily between 2023 and 2033 — 6%, faster than average across all occupations.
Once RNs finish their degree programs and get licensed, they can earn serious cash, averaging more than $41 per hour.
Plumber
Good plumbers are always in demand and are expected to stay so, with about 6% job growth between 2023 and 2033.

Mental health counselors are projected to be in incredibly high demand over the decade — with employment growing 19%.

The average pay is just over $25 an hour but varies greatly.
Computer support specialist

It's also a job you can get after completing a typically three-year program.
Market research analyst
Market research analysts, who study factors that might affect or improve sales for their companies or clients, will be in high demand over the decade. Job growth of 8% is projected.
The average pay for the gig is $35.90 an hour.
Human resources specialist
HR specialists are needed across most industries and are involved with the hiring process, benefits, and other employment-related tasks at their companies.

Heavy/tractor-trailer truck driver
To get a job as a truck driver, candidates typically have to undergo some training or schooling to get a commercial driver's license (CDL). The average pay is more than $26 an hour.

Occupational health and safety specialist
