While this occupation comes with a learning curve, it's possible to land a job as an editor without a degree if you have relevant experience. There are also many editing courses you can take to hone your skills.

According to the BLS, the top 10% of workers in this occupation earn $140,840 or more.

Professional sleeper

This one sounds too good to be true. These workers sleep for a living, for example, to test mattresses. What could be easier than napping?

Professional sleepers have only one job: giving feedback about their experience in various environments. According to Glassdoor, sleep professionals make up to $119,000 per year.

Real estate agent

The highest 10% earn $124,110 per year, according to the BLS. While you'll need to become licensed to help people buy and sell homes, you won't be chained behind a desk to do this job, although you'll probably work weekends.

Many real estate agents also earn commissions in addition to their base salary. This increases your chances to maximize your income.

Sales representative

A good portion of video editors are self-taught, making the job attainable for many. The highest earners in the industry make more than $145,900 per year, according to the BLS.

Master sommelier

A sommelier is an expert who recommends wines to customers to create the best dining experience. They oversee every aspect of a company's wine program.
