Best GPT Sites to Earn Extra Money [2025]

A get-paid-to site can be a fun way to earn extra money.

Get-paid-to (GPT) sites help people earn money by completing tasks online. Depending on the platform, users can play games, take surveys, complete other tasks, or all of the above. Many of the most popular GPT sites will pay you if you use them long enough, but you need to have reasonable expectations about how much you can earn.

My favorite GPT sites are Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and InboxDollars since they have a variety of tasks and their earnings are comparable with each other.

Other sites like Freecash, Rewarded Play, and Cash Giraffe primarily focus on paying users to download and play third-party games. They can be worth checking out in addition to other GPT sites, but they aren't my first choice.

Survey Junkie

Excellent for people serious about taking surveys

Product details

  • What you get paid for: Surveys, product testing, focus groups
  • Platforms: Web browser and Android or iPhone app
  • Ratings:
      • 4.5 out of 5 stars on the Apple App Store with over 80,000 reviews

Survey Junkie is an excellent site for people who only want to take surveys. Unlike other get-paid-to sites, it doesn't offer games or other tasks. However, you may receive offers for focus groups and product testing in addition to the regular survey offers.

When you first sign up, Survey Junkie will have you answer questions to build your profile. Then, you'll see the available surveys on your dashboard and an estimate of how long each survey will take. Survey Junkie will award you points based on the survey's length.

Each point is worth $0.01. You must earn at least 500 points (or $5) before you can cash out an e-gift card or via PayPal. Survey Junkie will also transfer your funds via bank transfer, a nice feature not offered by some other sites.

In addition, you can join Surf to Earn, a browser extension that shares your browsing data with third-party partners. If you use Surf to Earn, it will help you qualify for higher paying surveys.

Pros
  • Survey Junkie has a wide variety of survey options.
  • You only need to earn $5 (500 points) to cash out.
  • Points don't expire as long as you take at least one survey in a 12-month period.
Cons
  • Survey Junkie only offers surveys, potentially limiting your earning potential.
  • Taking surveys can be time-consuming with relatively low payouts.
  • You may spend time qualifying for a survey you don't ultimately get to take.

  • What you get paid for: Surveys, games, partner offers, scanning receipts, referrals, and online shopping

Swagbucks is one of the best survey sites, but it offers many other ways to make money too. You can play games, scan receipts, shop online, or participate in daily polls and trivia games. You can also shop through the Swagbucks portal to earn cash back and get special discounts.

Users earn Swagbucks for every task they finish, and each Swagbuck is worth $0.01. You can select the task you're interested in and see how many Swagbucks each opportunity is worth.

Users can redeem Swagbucks via PayPal once they've earned at least 2,500 Swagbucks ($25). However, gift cards on Swagbucks typically start at only 300 ($3), which is much more attainable.

Pros
  • Swagbucks has more tasks than most other GPT sites.
  • You can cash out gift cards starting at $3 (300 Swagbucks).
  • Swagbucks received high ratings on the Apple App and Google Play Stores.
Cons
  • You must earn at least $25 before cashing out using PayPal.

InboxDollars

Excellent for cash rewards

Product details

  • What you get paid for: Surveys, games, partner offers, scanning receipts, referrals, online shopping, cashback, and scratch tickets
  • Platforms: Web browser and Android or iPhone app
  • Ratings:
      • 4.5 out of 5 stars and over 211,000 reviews on the Apple App Store
      • 4.2 out of 5 stars on Google Play with more than 162,000 reviews

Like Swagbucks, InboxDollars allows users to earn money by playing games and taking surveys. It has multiple money earning tasks, and you can shop online through a browser extension, play scratch-offs, or perform additional tasks to earn more.

Unlike Swagbucks, each task earns cash directly, which you can trade for gift cards, a Visa prepaid card, or PayPal. However, you must earn a minimum of $15 for your first withdrawal and $10 for withdrawals after that. You can also request a check, but you must have a minimum balance of $30 and pay a $3 fee.

Three offers are featured on InboxDollars, including how much a user needs to earn to redeem them.

Pros
  • InboxDollars awards cash directly rather than points or in-app currency.
  • You can cash out in multiple ways, including PayPal and paper check.
  • It offers a $2 bonus to new users.
Cons
  • InboxDollars has relatively high cashout thresholds.
  • It can take up to 16 days to process a payment request.
  • Finding high-paying surveys and tasks may be difficult.

Freecash

Excellent for game selection

Product details

  • What you get paid for: Downloading and playing games, taking surveys, watching ads
  • Platforms: Web browser and Android App (iOS users can access the site from a web browser.)
  • Ratings:
      • 4.1 out of 5 stars on the Google Play store with over 141,000 reviews

Freecash is best for people who like downloading and playing games. However, it also offers surveys, downloading apps, and other tasks like watching ads as ways to make more on the platform.

Freecash has the biggest game selection out of any of the apps on this list. However, it places some users in Lite Mode, which limits the games and tasks you qualify for and how much you can earn.

You'll get a $5 bonus for signing up and downloading your first game. However, you cannot withdraw the bonus until you earn $20. Users can cash out via bank transfer, PayPal, gift card, and other methods. However, the site also charges a 5% processing fee on PayPal or bank transfer withdrawals.

Three notifications are featured on Freecash, including rewarded for playing and offer earnings.

Pros
  • Freecash has a large selection of games.
  • It offers multiple ways to cash out, including bank transfers.
  • It offers a $5 bonus to new users.
Cons
  • You must earn $20 before you can get out of Lite Mode.
  • There is a 5% processing fee to withdraw money via PayPal or bank transfer.
  • You must spend a lot of time on Freecash to earn more than a few dollars.

Cash Giraffe

Excellent for discounts

Product details

  • What you get paid for: Playing games and downloading apps
  • Platform: Only available for Android devices
  • Ratings:
      • 4.4 out of 5 stars on the Google Play Store and over 435,000 reviews

Cash Giraffe is primarily for games, but it will reward you for downloading other apps through its platform. Compared to a site like Freecash, Cash Giraffe's selection is limited, but if you enjoy what the site has, it can be a good option to supplement your earnings from another GPT site.

A puzzle and match game are featured on Cash Giraffe, including the gems earning potential.

Cash Giraffe awards you gems for making progress through each game. It takes 47,065 gems for a $5 PayPal withdrawal and 93,188 gems for $10, so it can take a long time to cash out. However, you can also exchange gems for merchant discounts (like 65% off at Walmart), which can help you save money while shopping online.

Pros
  • You may receive your withdrawal within two days.
  • Cash Giraffe offers payouts as online discounts, PayPal, and gift cards.
  • It has several popular games, including Coin Master and Bingo Blitz.
Cons
  • Cash Giraffe's game selection is limited compared to a site like Freecash.
  • It does not offer other tasks.
  • Cash Giraffe is only available for Android devices.

Rewarded Play

Excellent for sign-up bonuses

Product details

  • What you get paid for: Playing games and completing limited surveys
  • Platform: Only available for Android devices
  • Reviews:
      • 4.4 out of 5 stars on the Google Play Store, with over 227,000 reviews

Like Cash Giraffe, Rewarded Play is a GPT site with limited game options. However, I found that it generally had more survey options than Cash Giraffe, and it awards new users a $5 gift card for downloading apps and completing activities.

Nine games are featured in the All Apps section on Rewarded Play with the "Install" button below each one.

Rewarded Play only offers store gift cards as rewards. However, I like it because it has the largest gift card selection I've seen in any GPT app.

Despite being a good option, Rewarded Play has some drawbacks, namely that you may have to watch ads before progressing in a game. I prefer Rewarded Play over Cash Giraffe, but neither option is my first choice for a GPT app.

Pros
  • New users receive a $5 gift card for completing three tasks.
  • Gift cards arrive within 48 hours.
  • It has a large selection of merchant gift cards.
Cons
  • Rewarded Play only pays out in gift cards.
  • It has limited task options.
  • You must spend a long time using Rewarded Play before you can cash out.

Tips for making money on GPT sites

While you won't get rich using GPT sites, here are a few things you can do to help you earn more.

  • Consistency: Many higher-paying tasks fill quickly, and you might miss them if you don't log in frequently. Make a habit of logging in to each app or site to see if there are any new worthwhile tasks and take advantage of any daily bonuses.
  • Use multiple sites: Pair sites like Swagbucks and Freecash together to help you maximize your earnings. While there might be some overlap, compare which site offers the best payout and user experience.
  • Look for high paying tasks: It might seem obvious, but don't waste time on low-paying tasks. Browse each site or app for the highest paying task with the lowest time commitment.
  • Take advantage of referral bonuses: Look for a site offering generous signup and referral bonuses, and understand what you must do to get the bonus. Some sites provide a high referral bonus but only if you get multiple people to sign up and use the site for a specified time. Be strategic about your referrals.

FAQs

Are GPT sites worth it?

GPT sites can be worth it, but they generally aren't reliable and consistent income. If you're willing to devote the time and find a site you enjoy, you can supplement your income in some cases. However, you won't replace a full-time job.

What are drawbacks of using GPT sites?

The biggest drawback of using a GPT site is that they generally don't pay much for your time. While you can earn a little money playing games, answering surveys, or completing other tasks, you won't be able to replace your job using GPT sites. In addition, some sites have privacy concerns and may share your data with third-party sites.

Bottom line

Although GPT sites are a fun way to earn a little extra cash, it pays to do your homework before signing up with one. Be sure the site offers tasks you're interested in and pays out your earnings in a way that works for you (i.e., bank transfer, gift card, PayPal, etc.).
