That dusty box of Hot Wheels in your attic could be sitting on a small fortune. Depending on the model, collectors have been known to pay tens of thousands of dollars for the right car, sometimes more than the price of an actual vehicle on the road today.

Here are 15 of the most valuable Hot Wheels and what they could be worth to help you make cash on the side.

There were a few Custom Camaro models from Hot Wheels back in 1968, and the value depends on the color and the condition. A car in used condition could go for around $300 on eBay.

The 1972 Superfine Turbine in pink is a toy collector's dream. It came in a few colors, but the pink appears to be the rarest and most valuable.

Car and Driver reports that if you are able to find a rare purple Bye-Focal, it could be worth around $6,000.

1969 31 Ford Woody

If you have any of the 1969 '31 Hot Wheels models, you could likely sell them for a few hundred dollars on eBay if they're in decent condition. Prices on eBay could go up to $300.

According to Car and Driver, if you come across an authentic Ed Shaver AMX, complete with a graphic on the side, you could be looking at a payday of up to $10,000. On eBay, they typically sell for around $300.

A 1968 lime green Over Chrome Camaro is among the rarest Hot Wheels available. It was likely created only for advertising purposes, and only about 20 are thought to exist.

Car and Driver says it could sell for up to $25,000.

1968 Red Over Chrome Mustang

Like the Over Chrome Camaro, Car and Driver notes that a red Over Chrome Mustang was likely created only for advertising purposes.

It's hard to put a price tag on such a unique car, but the magazine estimates it could be worth up to $40,000.

1969 Pink, Rear-Loading Beach Bomb

You'd be hard-pressed to find an original pink, rear-loading Beach Bomb, as the toy was reportedly redesigned, and only a few of the originals still exist.

If you are able to find the OG pink van with surfboards packed into the back, Car and Driver estimates it could be worth up to $175,000 (even replicas are going for $300 on eBay), which would be a great way to eliminate some money stress.

Bottom line

Factors like the Hot Wheels' condition, whether it's authentic (or a remake), and whether you are able to find the right buyer come into play when considering how much you could make selling them.
