1974 Blue Rodger Dodger

The Rodger Dodger model from 1974, painted light blue with flames on the front, is a rare treasure.

The car seems difficult to come by, and even if some repairs were needed, it's worth something. Prices could go up to $160 on eBay. Others could sell for around $40.

1968 Red Custom Camaro

There were a few Custom Camaro models from Hot Wheels back in 1968, and the value depends on the color and the condition. A car in used condition could go for around $300 on eBay.

1968 Pink Beatnik Bandit

A 1968 Beatnik Bandit in decent condition could yield a seller some serious cash on the resale market. Most sell on eBay for around $50, though some have sold for over $200.

1972 Pink Superfine Turbine

The 1972 Superfine Turbine in pink is a toy collector's dream. It came in a few colors, but the pink appears to be the rarest and most valuable.

The vintage car is part of the Hot Wheels "Redline" series, and a used one could go up to $500 on eBay.

1971 Yellow Olds 442

The 1971 Olds 442 Hot Wheels all seem to have some value on the resale market, but a rare Olds 442 in yellow appears to be a rarity worth some serious dough. The price depends on the condition and if anything had to be restored.

1970 Red Ferrari 312P

Any Red Ferrari 312P model in decent condition could get you around $30 to $50.

However, according to Car and Driver magazine, it may be worth $5,000 if you could find one with a white interior.

1971 Magenta Bye-Focal

If you have any of the decked-out, funky-looking Bye-Focal Hot Wheels, you could probably sell them for a few hundred dollars. Most magenta versions go for $100 to $700.

Car and Driver reports that if you are able to find a rare purple Bye-Focal, it could be worth around $6,000.

1969 31 Ford Woody

Released in 1969, Custom Chargers have an authentic, vintage feel, even if they have a few scratches and dings.

Most on eBay earn you over $100, but if you find an extremely rare brown, the payday could be up to $13,000.

1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser Candy Striper

Although the Candy Striper Gasser was only released a few years ago, it's still a rare and highly sought-after Hot Wheels collector's item.

The pink and white striped gasser is currently listed on eBay for over $1,600. Most end up selling for around $150.

1970 Purple Mighty Maverick

There's no doubt that the Mighty Maverick is a cool-looking miniature car. With a striped top and a giant spoiler on the back, these wheels are worth a small fortune today.

In fact, one unopened purple 1970 Mighty Maverick is currently listed for nearly $1,300 on eBay. Most likely, yours would sell for around $200 like others on eBay.

1968 Green Over Chrome Camaro

A 1968 lime green Over Chrome Camaro is among the rarest Hot Wheels available. It was likely created only for advertising purposes, and only about 20 are thought to exist.

Car and Driver says it could sell for up to $25,000.

1968 Red Over Chrome Mustang

Like the Over Chrome Camaro, Car and Driver notes that a red Over Chrome Mustang was likely created only for advertising purposes.

It's hard to put a price tag on such a unique car, but the magazine estimates it could be worth up to $40,000.

1969 Pink, Rear-Loading Beach Bomb

You'd be hard-pressed to find an original pink, rear-loading Beach Bomb, as the toy was reportedly redesigned, and only a few of the originals still exist.

If you are able to find the OG pink van with surfboards packed into the back, Car and Driver estimates it could be worth up to $175,000 (even replicas are going for $300 on eBay), which would be a great way to eliminate some money stress

Bottom line

Factors like the Hot Wheels' condition, whether it's authentic (or a remake), and whether you are able to find the right buyer come into play when considering how much you could make selling them.

Still, old wheels you've had lying around your house might just be one way you could make extra money from home
