Disney+ is a must-have if you want to watch any Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, or National Geographic streaming video content. If you grew up watching some of this stuff, or have kids of your own, then a Disney+ subscription is a no-brainer. And if you haven’t seen "Bluey" yet, get started immediately (kids or not).
We think paying around $12 per month for top content with no ads is a pretty good deal. We also like that Disney+ has bundle options available if you’re interested in Hulu and/or ESPN+.

Yes | "1883" | Get Paramount+ deal |
Disney+ has Star Wars, but Paramount+ has Star Trek — and some of the new Star Trek shows have been pretty good. We also like using Paramount+ to watch the occasional live soccer match or to stream a recent movie rather than pay to see it in theaters.
For the deal itself, $5 per month for Paramount+ is quite affordable compared to most other streaming services. And you could always wait to sign up until the release dates of exciting new shows or movies.

Hulu is jam-packed with amazing content. Seriously, it’s one of our top streaming services because of its wide variety of award-winning shows like "The Bear" and "Only Murders in the Building." We can always find something decent to watch, so there’s no mindless scrolling through mediocre shows and movies (unless that’s what you’re into).
Considering how much good content Hulu has, $7 per month for Hulu’s ad-supported plan is a slam-dunk deal. Plus, Hulu offers a 30-day free trial on its base (non-bundle) plans.

Most people like Sling TV because it lets you watch live TV channels for cheaper than YouTubeTV or
Hulu + Live TV. Sling could make sense for you if you don’t want cable or have to pay the high prices of other live TV streaming options. If Sling’s channel selection and sports options align with your interests or favorite teams, then this is an excellent deal you can use to at least check out the service for a month.
Sling has three plans available that should suit most users looking to watch live TV channels. Plans include Sling Orange, Sling Blue, and a plan that includes both Orange and Blue. There are also plenty of customizable add-ons and extras, as well as a Sling Latino plan.
For an extra cost, you can add DVR storage and premium content channels. You can also choose to watch shows live or on demand.

Netflix Standard with ads | Yes | "Stranger Things" | Get Netflix deal |
Netflix is among the top dogs for a reason. It’s one of our go-to streaming services because it seems like it always has new content coming out. And, without fail, each year Netflix gives us a show (or five) that wins an Emmy award.
Because of its popularity, Netflix doesn’t tend to have a lot of streaming deals available. But if you don’t mind ads, you can save big (over 54%) by going with the Netflix Standard with ads plan over the Netflix Standard plan. We hate ads, but that’s some pretty persuasive savings.

Amazon Prime Video is unique because it comes included with an Amazon Prime membership, which many people already have. Considering we’d probably have a Prime membership even without access to Amazon's streaming service, it’s well worth it for us.
Even though we’ve seen it in the past, we couldn’t find an option to sign up for Prime Video by itself (without paying the entire cost of Prime). But note that even for full Amazon Prime members, Amazon is introducing ads on Prime Video starting on January 29, 2024. You can pay $2.99 per month to skip the commercials.
