Thanks to social media, people have discovered an appetizing menu item sold exclusively at Canadian Costco stores — chickeningers and fries. At just $6.99 CAD (about $5), customers who order the item could expect to receive a reasonable portion of four breaded chicken fingers and handfuls of fries.
Many Americans expressed their thoughts on a Reddit post featuring the Canadian Food Court menu. “Why the [redacted] doesn’t Costco USA have french fries or chicken strips?!?” one person commented. “I would kill for that!!”
For reference, a four-piece chicken strip, fries, and drink meal at Chick-fil-A would cost a customer in Ohio $8.64. In New York, that same meal would cost $14.99. Similarly, a comparable meal at Cane’s is $9.99 in Ohio and $14.69 in Brooklyn — nearly double and triple the cost of the Costco meal.
This smart Costco hack is sure to save you some money. If you’re new to dining out at the store’s food court, we’ve got some of the most beloved buys that hungry shoppers rave about.

Chicken Bake

Bottom line
While Costco hasn’t announced any plans to add chicken fingers and fries to its food court menu any time soon, many great-value meals remain to be enjoyed.
If you ask us, an entire pizza for $10 isn’t too bad. Plus, Canadian Costco locations don’t seem to sell chicken bakes, so the U.S. is still winning there.
Costco not only helps you save money on groceries but you can also take a break from cooking dinner without having to spend a crazy amount of money to eat out.
