Only App Users Can Score Wendy's New Saucy Nuggets - For Now

In December 2023, Wendy's unveiled its newest creation, "Saucy Nuggs," to a few select locations in Ohio and it quickly became a fan favorite. 

Customers had options of seven flavor combinations: three mild (Honey BBQ, Garlic Parm, Buffalo) and four with varying degrees of heat (Spicy Honey BBQ, Spicy Garlic Parm, Spicy Buffalo, and Spicy Ghost Pepper). 

The best news? The fast-food chain officially brought these beloved menu additions nationwide. Well, if you have the app, that is.

Each of these "tossed and sauced" options is available on the app in 4 ($2.49), 6 ($3.49), 10($5.49), and even 20-piece ($10.49) sizes. 

While it might be disheartening to have to download an app, the truth is that the extra step that separates you from those tasty Nuggs is actually a great way to save some money on fast food in general. 

As a reward for downloading the app, Wendy's is lowering their in-app delivery to $0 until Friday, June 7, and next week, Wendy's is offering a special DoorDash promotion.

If you spend $15 or more from June 12-18, you can get their standard 6-piece nuggets for free. DashPass members will even get the extra bonus of a free pack of Saucy Nuggs after spending $20 (excluding fees and taxes). 

It may feel like an extra hassle to download an app just to get some fast food, but truthfully, they are worth it in the long run.

Just last week, Taco Bell offered app users early access to their new Cheez-It options before they were available to the larger public. Additionally, apps can often offer bonus deals, free foods and free delivery that isn't available through delivery service apps. 

Of course, if drenched nuggets aren't your thing, Wendy's is currently offering tons of other deals via the app. 

Crispy or spicy 6-piece nuggets come free with a premium combo purchase, while a free Crispy Chicken Sandwich is available with a $5 purchase. Users can also get 50% off kid's meals with a $5 purchase, or they can choose 2 for $6 on select menu items.

And that's just to name a few of the deals available!
