It's Finally Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven — Here's Everything You Need to Know

On July 11, 7-Eleven will celebrate its 22nd annual Slurpee Day with special promotions and offerings. This tradition, which started in 2002, commemorates the company's history while delighting loyal customers with free Slurpees.

The Slurpee, introduced in 1966 from a modified Icee machine, got its name from advertising executive Bob Stanford. 7-Eleven began celebrating 7-Eleven Day in 2002, offering complimentary beverages to thank customers for their support.

Founded in 1927 as the Southland Ice Company, 7-Eleven rebranded in 1947 after extending its hours from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. It’s now the world's largest convenience retailer, with more than 9,000 stores in the U.S.

This year, 7-Eleven introduces Mountain Dew Freedom Fusion, a limited-time Slurpee flavor combining lemonade and peach. All Slurpee flavors will be available for the promotion, highlighting the exclusive Freedom Fusion.

In collaboration with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, 7-Eleven is also featuring a special cup designed by 7-year-old Nolan, who has retinoblastoma cancer. 

The initiative aims to raise donations and honor Nolan's artistic talents.

On July 11, you can enjoy a free Slurpee at 7-Eleven and support a charitable cause.
