The robots are coming to replace your standard kitchen appliances! (Kidding, sort of…) It’s the age of AI, and CES saw the debuts of some exciting AI-powered appliances.
No, these appliances won’t write a blog post for you or create some artwork, but what they can do is still very impressive. These three gadgets offer convenience and time savings for busy families, but are they worth the cost?
Earn cash back on everyday purchases with this rare account
Want to earn cash back on your everyday purchases without using a credit card? With the Discover®️ Cashback Debit Checking account (member FDIC), you can earn 1% cash back on up to $3,000 in debit card purchases each month!1
With no credit check to apply and no monthly fees to worry about, you can earn nearly passive income on purchases you’re making anyway — up to an extra $360 a year!
This rare checking account has other great perks too, like access to your paycheck up to 2 days early with Early Pay, no minimum deposit or monthly balance requirements, over 60K fee-free ATMs, and the ability to add cash to your account at Walmart stores nationwide.
Don’t leave money on the table — it only takes minutes to apply and it won’t impact your credit score.
An AI-powered air fryer
Air fryers have been all the rage in recent years, but now, this handy tool is about to become even more efficient. With Chef AI, an air fryer can be much more user-friendly. All you’d have to do is put the food in, press start, and then the AI determines what’s in the basket and how to cook it.
Sounds easy, right? While typical air fryers can cost as little as $50, this one would run about $250. But hey, if you burn even the simplest dishes, then this just might be the tool for you!
A cocktail-mixing robot
Robot bartender, another drink, please! Bartesian is like a cocktail Keurig, and with AI, it makes the art of mixology easy for anyone. The Premier model can craft a wide variety of cocktails with the press of a button and a cocktail capsule (similar to K-cups).
The Bartesian will cost around $369, and you can choose from 60 recipes.
World's fastest grill
This AI-powered appliance says it can give you “chef-level results” in as little as 90 seconds. (Which sounds a lot like the future The Jetsons always promised!)
The Perfecta by Seergrills helps you cook everything from ribeyes to pizzas more effectively with its dual-sided cooking, AI algorithms, and smart sensors. And most foods can be ready to serve in three minutes or less.
Ready for the bad news? This grill is priced at a steep $3,500, though they are offering a limited-time $1,000 discount if you pre-order by January 15.
Are they worth it?
So, do you think these products are ultimately worth it? For many the answer will be no, but if you’re someone who's looking to save time and knows these appliances will be used over and over again, then the answer might be yes.
Sure, they have a ton of benefits that are especially handy for busy families or people who just can’t seem to get cooking right no matter how hard they try. (Don’t worry, we’ve been there.) But these are also new and unproven, so it might be worth seeing how other customers review them before making such a big purchase.
With AI becoming much more commonplace in our everyday lives, having this kind of tech in our kitchen appliances feels inevitable. Early adopters will get the first "taste" of these robot helpers, but if you are willing to wait, prices are sure to come down. (Remember how much flat screen TVs used to cost?)
