The Biggest Buc-ee's Ever Is Coming to Texas (And 11 More Openings to Look Out For)

Texas-based and cult-favorite Buc-ee’s convenience stores are continuing to expand across the country, so you may not have to visit the Lone Star State to visit one of their locations. But if you want to see the biggest Buc-ee’s in the world, you know what they say: Everything’s bigger in Texas.

The state is now home to the world’s largest Buc-ee’s, which opened on Monday, June 10, in Luling, about 50 miles outside Austin. The newest outpost sprawls nearly two acres along I-10 with 120 fuel pumps and more than 200 employees.

Getting a new Buc-ee’s in your area can be a big deal. When the convenience store chain opened a location in Athens, Alabama, in 2022, more than 100 people stood in line to be the first people into the new store.

The Auburn location of Buc-ee’s has officially opened and was the fourth store the chain added to the state of Alabama.

It may become a good hangout for students at nearby Auburn University, who will benefit from the Buc-ee’s being open 24 hours a day. You can also shop if you're looking to keep more money in your wallet.

The store will sell its famous Beaver Nuggets Corn Puffs and many other items in its 53,000-square-foot Auburn location.

Western Kentucky will add a Buc-ee’s in 2024, with 54,000 square feet of space for Texas barbecue, fudge, and anything else you can find in the famous convenience store.

The company opened its first Kentucky location in Richmond in 2022, with 53,000 square feet of space and 120 fueling locations.

Check out the new Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, which just recently opened. The store covers 74,000 square feet and offers shoppers a place to find goodies to eliminate some money stress.

The stop will be close to Dollywood, so you’ll have plenty of snacks to choose from after a trip to the famous amusement park.

The first Buc-ee’s location in Tennessee opened in Crossville in 2022. The store features 53,400 square feet of shopping and 120 fueling stations.

Colorado’s first Buc-ee’s open in March in Johnstown along Interstate 25 between Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado.

It’s the perfect spot for visitors who will be spending time in the state hiking, skiing, and enjoying any other amazing outdoor activities in colorful Colorado.

The convenience store chain broke ground on the facility in 2022 and includes 74,000 square feet of space and 116 fueling pumps.

Mississippi’s Gulf Coast will be the home of the first Buc-ee’s with a new location in Harrison County.

It’s a prime location for an area that's continuing to expand with plenty of future offerings for amusement park rides, entertainment, and other attractions for visitors.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is funding improvements to the exit on Interstate 10 to accommodate the extra traffic and construction in the area, including the new retail location for Buc-ee’s.

The Texas chain is sticking to its roots with a new location in Boerne, Texas, outside of San Antonio. A start date for construction is still yet to be determined.

Visitors can check out the fudge and Texas barbecue, which is sure to be a tasty treat in its home state.

Like many other Buc-ee’s stores, the location will pride itself on good pay and clean bathrooms after it builds out 53,000 square feet of space.

Texas will also be home to a new location in Hillsboro, south of the Dallas-Fort Wayne area, giving the Lone Star State another great spot to find Beaver Nuggets.

Buc-ee’s is continuing its expansion in South Carolina with a location in Anderson expected to open in 2025.

This may be the perfect spot for visitors who want to check out the “Friendliest City in South Carolina.” Buc-ee’s opened its first South Carolina location in 2022 in Florence with a 53,000-square-foot location.

Buc-ee’s officially opened its new location in Springfield on December 11. The city is the hometown of game show host Bob Barker and actors Brad Pitt and Kathleen Turner.

The store, which is the first in the state of Missouri, features 53,000 square feet of space and plenty of Texas barbecue for patrons who stop by or line up at one of the 120 fueling stations.

Springfield residents can now save money shopping or find the next great item available very close to home.

Buc-ee’s announced plans for its first Wisconsin store in 2023, and it is set to be one of the largest Buc-ee’s stores in the world. Located in DeForest, outside of Madison, construction has yet to begin on the site, but rabid fans can’t wait to get their hands on some beaver nuggets. 

Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s location will open in 2025 upon completion of a 74,000-square-foot store in Huber Heights, a suburb of Dayton. The new store will be the same size as Buc-ee’s Sevierville, Tennessee, location. 

Buc-ee’s largest location is about 50 miles south of Austin and is a veritable warehouse full of snacks and other goodies. Clocking in at 75,000 square feet — larger than an NFL field — the latest store opened on Monday, June 10, along I-10, making it a must-stop for your next Texas road trip.
