AARP has offered grants to make communities across the country more livable for seniors, especially if they’re looking for things to do when they retire early.
Of the 3,600-plus applications submitted for 2023, 310 cities received funds to enhance an element of their city, such as transportation, housing, inclusion, and digital access.

In the city of Eufaula, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Barbour County will receive a grant for a community garden. The grant includes accessible benches for residents to relax and admire the flowers and vegetables.
