Black Bear Diner has announced  9 new stores coming in 2025, but it’s unclear which will be franchised and which will be company-owned. These are the seven cities we know for sure are getting a Black Bear Diner this year.

There is already one Black Bear Diner in nearby Santa Clarita, but Canyon Country is slated to get an additional one soon, according to the company’s website. Details about the timing of the new restaurant are unknown.

Residents of Vista, Calif., will be glad when they get their Black Bear Diner; the nearest location is currently 43 minutes away in Murrieta. Other than the name of the city, not much is known about the where or when of this soon-to-be Black Bear Diner location.

Construction for a new Black Bear Diner has been underway since last summer, located across from a large travel center currently being built. According to the Black Bear Diner website, the plans for a restaurant opening in Pueblo, CO, have been officially confirmed

Black Bear Diner is expanding its footprint in Texas, with Odessa set to join the list of lucky cities getting a new location. While exact details about the opening timeline or specific address haven’t been announced, the diner’s “Locations Coming Soon” page confirms that Odessa residents can look forward to welcoming a Black Bear Diner in 2025.

The California-based Black Bear Diner franchise is bringing its signature home-style meals and cozy, cabin-inspired atmosphere to Tomball, Texas. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing, construction on the new restaurant is expected to wrap up by May 2025.

The upcoming diner will be located at 25517 N. Grand Parkway West, making it a convenient spot for residents and travelers alike.

Set to open in a spot that locals already associate with great dining, the new Black Bear Diner will take over the former R-Place Family Eatery at 21 Romines Drive in Morris, IL.

After decades of serving the community, R-Place officially closed its doors in late 2024, announcing on social media that they were thrilled to see Black Bear Diner continuing the tradition of bringing excellent food to the area.

Black Bear Diner is set to open in Johnstown, Colorado, in 2025 at the former Johnson's Corner location off Exit 254 along Interstate 25.

The new diner will offer its signature hearty portions and rustic ambiance, providing a fresh dining experience for both locals and travelers. Renovations are already underway to transform the iconic space into the latest addition to the Black Bear Diner chain.

Black Bear Diner is set to open a new location in West Wendover, Nevada, in 2025. Construction is progressing steadily, with work moving along at a steady pace. The diner will be located on the north side of Interstate 80 at Exit 410, a prime spot for both travelers and locals.

West Wendover Mayor Jasie Holm shared an update on the city's Facebook page: "This project is showing great progress! It will be a great addition to our community, providing approximately 70 jobs. I know so many are looking forward to the Black Bear Diner! November 2025 is just around the corner."

Black Bear Diner has officially opened its first El Paso location at 1295 Horizon Blvd. However, the diner is also planning a second location near Tierra Cortez, close to Providence East Hospital.

While this second spot is listed on the Black Bear Diner website as a coming location, a confirmed opening date has yet to be announced. Stay tuned for updates as the opening plans unfold for this eagerly anticipated addition to the Far East El Paso area.
