Nordic Choice Hotels — a hotel chain with over 200 properties in the Nordic and Baltic countries — is offering two promotions for discounted hotel stays this summer. This includes:
- An “Unlimited Nights” pass at a fixed rate for unlimited hotel stays between June 24, 2022, and August 21, 2022
- A “My Summer Treat” pass for seven nights at a fixed rate

These types of hotel promotions come and go, and they’re not always worth a second look. But the fact that these passes apply to hotels in a typically expensive part of the world for travelers requires more research.
So let’s dig into the details.
Nordic Choice Hotels Unlimited Nights pass
Unlimited Nights is likely the better of the two offers because it could potentially save you a lot of money. In fact, it proved so popular that it sold out.
Here is what lucky Unlimited Nights travelers get:
- Price: 3,000 euros (about $3,225).
- Duration: 58 nights total between June 24 to Aug. 21.
- Number of hotels: 209 participating hotels, not including Icehotel, Kämp Hotel, Lily Country Club, Son Spa, St. George, The Thief, and Yasuragi.
- Room type: Moderate or Standard double room.
- Number of guests: Up to four guests (two adults plus two children), though you would have to pay for an extra bed if a child is over 9 years old.
- Breakfast: Included for free at all participating hotels other than Comfort Hotel Xpress and Glo Hotel Airport. Fika — an afternoon snack typically consisting of coffee, tea, and a sweet treat — and an evening meal are also included at Clarion Collection Hotels.
- Stay restrictions: Stay up to five consecutive nights and up to 15 nights in total at the same hotel.
- Elite status and points: Nordic Choice Club members receive one qualifying night and 1,000 bonus points for each eligible night stayed.
For this promotion, unlimited nights means you could stay up to 58 nights total. Not quite unlimited, but still a long time. If you stay all 58 nights, the price per night would come to about $56 — which is generally inexpensive for a hotel stay. In this region of the world, it’s not uncommon to pay around $100 per night or more.
And keep in mind that the majority of the participating hotels offer free breakfast. For even more saving opportunities, consider hotels from the Clarion Collection Hotels brand.
These hotels also offer a Swedish fika (similar to an afternoon tea and treat) and an evening meal. That’s potentially a lot of bang for your buck at around $56 per night, especially if you’re traveling as a family of four.
Note that Nordic Choice Hotels isn’t the same as Choice Hotels, though there is some overlap between their loyalty programs: Nordic Choice Club and Choice Privileges. Choice Privileges members are able to book some Nordic Choice Hotels with Choice Privileges points.
Nordic Choice Hotels My Summer Treat pass
Here are the details of the My Summer Treat pass:
- Price: 595 euros (about $640).
- Duration: Seven nights between June 24 to Aug. 21.
- Number of hotels: Over 100 participating hotels.
The room type, guest limit, breakfast, and Nordic Choice Club member benefits are all the same as what you get with the Unlimited Nights pass. However, you aren’t limited to a certain number of nights at the same hotel. Choose to use all seven nights at one hotel or spread them around. You also have the option to book seven rooms for one night.
This promotion could still be cost-effective, but it doesn’t offer as much value as staying all 58 nights with the Unlimited Nights pass. Each night with the My Summer Treat pass would come to about $91. Not a terrible deal if you were already planning on staying at similar hotels in the area with higher prices per night.

Bottom line
Promotional deals like these are highly specific and limited to hotels, cities, and dates when they’re available. If they don’t align with your travel plans, they likely don’t offer much value. After all, how many people were already planning to spend around two months in the Nordic countries this summer?
