These 14 Cities Are Getting an Aldi in 2025 (Is Yours One?)

Aldi is known for offering groceries at affordable prices, enticing shoppers across the United States to come check out their products. Not only are their items cheap so you can stretch your Aldi budget, but most are high-quality, too.

If you don't have an Aldi in your city yet, you may get one soon. Here are 14 new stores opening in 2025.

The company recently announced its plan to open at least 225 new stores across the United States in 2025. This expansion is part of a five-year plan to add 800 stores by the end of 2028.

Last year, Aldi acquired Southeastern Grocers, giving the company the opportunity to branch out in the southeastern United States. The five-year strategy also includes converting 170 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket locations. It's estimated that 100 of these converted locations will reopen by the end of the year.

As Aldi CEO Jason Hart explained in a press release, "Converting the remaining locations to the ALDI format is critically important to our nationwide commitment to help shoppers fill their carts with quality groceries for less. As shoppers continue to feel sticker shock at the checkout, the value ALDI delivers can't be beat."

• Semmes: 9082 Moffett Road

While a date hasn't been announced for this store opening, the City of Semmes verified in November that a building permit would be issued for the new location. This will bring the first Aldi to Semmes, making their high-quality, affordable groceries available to even more shoppers.

• Lakeland: 6902 Florida Ave. South
• Pensacola: 312 E. 9 Mile Road
• Avon Park: 802 U.S. Highway 27 South
• Jacksonville: 2261 Edgewood Ave. West

Florida will see four new Aldi stores in 2025. It will be the first one to join the city of Avon Park.

The grand opening of the new Pensacola store is set for March 13 with the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The first 100 customers on opening day will also receive a golden ticket worth up to $100 and a free goodie bag. You can also enter between March 13 and 16 for the chance to win a $500 gift card.

• Amite City: 804 W. Oak St.
• Slidell: 3030 Pontchartrain Drive

Louisiana will have 19 Aldi locations once these two stores open in Amite City and Slidell.

The date for the Amite City opening has been set for March 13, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Customers who stop by have the chance to win gift cards and cash and walk away with a free goodie bag and shopping tote.

• Hillsdale: 3751 W. Carleton Road

Hillsdale is getting a new Aldi store on March 13, bringing Michigan's total to 114 locations. At the grand opening, you'll have a chance to win prizes and get a free goodie bag and shopping tote. Previously, shoppers in Hillsdale had to drive to Coldwater to shop the store's affordable prices.

• D'Iberville: 10511 D'Iberville Blvd.

The D'Iberville opening will bring Mississippi's total to 14 locations throughout the state. This store in particular was previously a Winn-Dixie, but was converted to an Aldi as part of the company's efforts to revitalize 220 Southeastern Grocers locations.

An Aldi spokesperson told the SunHerald that employees at the D'Iberville Winn-Dixie were given first priority in applying to the new Aldi store or could also transfer to a neighboring Winn-Dixie.

• Gretna: 19311 Oakmont Drive

Gretna residents will soon have a local Aldi to visit for grocery shopping. The opening date has been set for March 20 and marks the thirteenth Aldi location in Nebraska — and the first in Gretna. Once it opens, you can shop at Aldi in the Gretna Landing development, which also includes other retailers like Starbucks and Arby's.

• Rochester: 1925 S. Clinton Ave.

Rochester already has five Aldi locations, and this new store will up their total to six. It's opening as a part of a new development in Clinton, alongside a Starbucks and a Jersey Mike's.

• Philadelphia: 2101 Washington Ave.

Philadelphia will have 15 Aldi stores once the one on Washington Avenue opens. This location is part of a larger development, opening in a six-story mixed-use building with 247 units. Aldi will occupy a space on the first floor, along with a CVS store.

• Mount Pleasant: 3153 Highway 17 North

Mount Pleasant will have two Aldi stores after this one opens. The grand opening date hasn't been announced, but it will occur sometime in 2025.

• La Vergne: 5331 Murfreesboro Road

With this new store, Tennessee will have 63 Aldi locations, but it will be the first in La Vergne. There isn't a definitive opening date yet, but La Vergne city officials anticipate the store will open in March.

As part of Aldi's five-year strategy, 170 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket locations will be converted. Aldi acquired these old stores when they bought out Southeastern Grocers, so rather than building brand new buildings, they'll remodel these existing ones. Not all the acquired stores will be converted, with some still operating under their existing brands.

Aldi started in Germany before expanding to North America, Australia, and Asia. It is continually known for offering affordable, high-quality groceries.

There are over 2,400 Aldi locations in the United States. These stores span 40 states, with some home to over 100 stores.

Aldi opened around 120 new stores in the United States in 2024, although the exact details of these openings are unavailable on their website.

Cities like Monroe and Plainville, Connecticut, were just some of the cities to welcome an Aldi last year, and Michigan also got three new locations.
