10 Deals To Try Before Outback Steakhouse Ditches 20% of Its Menu Items

With food prices rising, it can be hard to have a night out while finding ways to stretch your restaurant budget. Simultaneously, chains like Outback Steakhouse are having to make substantial changes due to slowed traffic and sales. 

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Outback had a 1.8% decline in sales, which was their fifth consecutive quarter showing a loss in profit. Earlier this year, its shares also decreased by over 17%. 

As a result, the chain recently announced a turnaround plan that consists of cutting Outback's menu by almost 20%, particularly targeting complicated or unpopular items. 

While Bloomin' Brands, the owner of the chain, is setting its focus on Outback, its other brands, including Carrabba's, Bonefish, and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, will also undergo some transformations. 

Bloomin' Brands is also turning its back on discounted, limited-time specials at Outback but plans to add more value to its menu, such as its once-popular $14.99 three-course meal. 

Other changes range from reevaluating its cooking processes, using tabletop tablets, and renovating existing restaurants while slowing down openings.

If you're more in the mood for red meat, try the Bloomin' Bundle with six center-cut sirloin steaks starting at $80 (though it was previously $50). 

The meal includes the steaks, three sides, a salad, and three loaves of the chain's Honey Wheat Bread to enjoy.

Want to skip the Bloomin' Onion and try something different? One of the restaurant's new appetizers is the hearty 3 Cheese Steak Dip, which features tortilla strips you can dip into a three-cheese blend, sliced sirloin, green onions, and diced tomatoes for just $15.49.

Outback's Caesar Side Salad is filling, delicious, and will help you keep more cash in your wallet at just $5.99.

The salad features a wedge of crisp lettuce topped with croutons and parmesan cheese. 

There's nothing more iconic at an Outback Steakhouse than its Bloomin' Onion for an appetizer.

The appetizer features one pound of onion slices cooked up to perfection and served with a signature spicy bloom sauce for only $10.99.

You can get a great deal with the Kookaburra Wings, which includes chicken wings with one of four sauce options for $15.49.
