Obviously, shoppers love all the perks that come with a Costco membership. However, the loyal fan base sometimes wishes the favorite wholesale chain would bring some new items and offerings to life, whether it be a specific food item or an overall store change.

Here are 7 things Costco customers wish their locations would start carrying.

Who wouldn't want to start their Costco shopping journey with a cup of coffee, or better yet, an iced latte? According to a 2024 Reddit thread, several customers would love to see a coffee bar or station in the food court. Currently, some locations offer coffee, but most do not.

It would help us to keep our energy up while shopping and it would probably be cheaper than Starbucks.

One of the most popular complaints against the wholesale chain is its lack of fresh herbs. While some Costco locations, like the Business Centers, offer fresh herbs in bulk, most shoppers aren't looking to buy large quantities of herbs. Most are usually shopping for a small amount for a recipe or two.

"A pack of fresh basil, cilantro, rosemary, chives, thyme, etc. together would be an amazing purchase for most home cooks," says one Reddit user.

While Costco does offer shoes for men and women, many customers wish the chain would start carrying more basic items for kids like shoes, socks, and underwear. 

You can find tons of toys and general clothing items, but apparently not a ton of these essentials.

"And kids' boots!" adds a Redditor. "It annoys me to no end that I can get all of my kids' winter gear here every year, except for boots."

If there's one thing Costco shoppers can all agree on, it's that the chain needs to bring back the iconic Polish hot dogs. Ever since being quietly discontinued in the summer of 2018, the seasoned Polish sausage has been sorely missed.

While you can purchase the packaged product on the shelves to make for yourself at home, it's simply not the same.

One complaint you'll hear from many Costco shoppers is the lack of plant-based and vegan food products.

While Costco is known for its bulk snack items, many customers wish the brand carried healthier alternatives including meat and dairy-free options.

While Costco now offers a take-and-bake option, loyal shoppers are begging for the chain to bring back its beloved food court combo pizzas. Back in the old days, you could get a slice of pizza for only $1.99 or an entire 18-inch pie for $9.95.

For unknown reasons, the popular item was discontinued in 2020 and members have been asking for its return ever since.

One Redditor complains, "Nespresso Vertuo pods. They have Keurig ones but why not Nespresso?"

This is a pretty popular complaint among Costco shoppers. While the chain does offer Nespresso machines that come with pods, it oddly doesn't sell the pods themselves, except for the occasional Starbucks-branded ones, which people say aren't as good.

As much as we love Costco, there are a few things we would love to see changed, including the re-introduction of certain food court items and better technology to make the self-checkout process easier.
