If your state allows cash games and you’re over 18, you can use your bonus cash to enter tournaments against others for cash prizes. You don’t have to make a cash deposit to play, but it can help you join the bigger games faster and increase your cash balance if you win.

Bingo Clash by Avia Games has a fun underwater cartoon theme. It functions similarly to Bingo Cash, but players earn in-game tickets (instead of gems) and bonus cash that they can use to enter tournaments. You can join games with higher prize pools if you deposit your own money.

After my first few games, I earned about 1,200 tickets and $0.50 in bonus cash. It was fun to play, but the app pushes you to make a deposit several times, which can be annoying if you just want to play for fun.

If you deposit cash to help you enter bigger prize pool games faster, you can do it via Apple Pay, PayPal, Visa, and Venmo in amounts between $5 and $50.

The lowest cash game entry fee is $0.99 for a prize of $5, and the biggest prize pool is $51 with an entry fee of $8.99. You can also enter multiple games with tickets, which earn you bonus cash. You can’t withdraw the bonus cash, but you can use it to cover entry fees for cash games.

However, you split the prize pool with the second and third-place winners if you win. For example, I came in third in a game with a prize pool of 1,800 tickets. I earned 300 tickets, while first and second place earned 900 and 600, respectively.

Bingo Tour: Best for beginners

Also developed by Avia Games, Bingo Tour offers many of the same features and functions as Bingo Clash. It rewards players with gems for non-cash games and bonus cash to enter cash tournaments.

I enjoyed playing it, although it moved slower than some of the other games. It’s a good fit for people just starting to play bingo on their phones and trying to get the hang of daubing, using boosters, and playing in tournaments.

This game takes longer to win than Bingo Clash. After my first few games, I had earned only about 115 gems and $0.81 in bonus cash, but there were many opportunities to earn more gems. Much like Bingo Clash, the app pushes you to deposit money so you can enter higher-paying cash tournaments.

Bingo Tour’s deposit and withdrawal rules are also similar to Bingo Clash. If you deposit cash, you can do it via Apple Pay, PayPal, Visa, and Venmo in amounts between $5 and $50.

Big Run Studios created Blackout Bingo, which is on the Skillz platform along with many other games. Like the other bingo games on this list, you can deposit money to enter tournaments or play for fun without depositing cash.

I enjoyed playing Blackout Bingo. Each bingo card features a different travel theme, which made a nice change from the other games’ cartoon themes. I played cards from New York, Hawaii, and Mexico City, but I also saw themes for Dubai and Paris.

Blackout Bingo uses Z coins as in-app currency and awards tickets for completing various tasks. You can use Z coins to enter games and spend the tickets you earn on prizes like bonus cash, gift cards, or even real merchandise. It takes 20,000 tickets to earn just $1 in bonus cash and several million to receive a prize like a bread or cotton candy machine, so building up a balance can take a while.

The entry fee starts at $0.60 for an award of $1. The largest entry fee is $120 for a $200 prize pool – the highest of any game on this list. Unlike the other games, the Skillz platform doesn’t split the prize pool, so you’ll make $80 if you win. However, it can be challenging to develop the skills and earn the top prize, and it may take a lot of time and money to win the bigger games.

When you’re ready to withdraw funds, tap “Menu” in the lower right corner, select the “My Account” tab, hit “Withdraw,” and follow the prompts. If you withdraw less than $10, you’ll pay a fee of $1.50.

Blackout Bingo will refund the payment method you used to make a deposit first. If there’s a balance left to pay, they’ll mail a paper check if you live in the U.S. If you live elsewhere, funds go into your PayPal account.

Bingo Dash: Best for playing on phones

While Bingo Dash is fun, users should play it on a phone instead of a tablet for the best results. When I played it on my tablet, the game never resized, leaving the squares relatively small, making it easy to make mistakes and receive a penalty.

If you want to join the higher stakes games, you can deposit cash using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Apple Pay, and the minimum deposit is $5. The maximum deposit is $80, and you’ll earn $18 in bonus cash.

While there are many opportunities to get bonus cash, many involve watching ads. Several ads popped up any time I opened the game, and if you want to spin the “Lucky Wheel” for bonus cash, you’ll have to watch a commercial encouraging you to deposit large sums of money.

Like most of the other games, if you win, you’ll split the prize pool with the second- and third-place winners. The lowest cash game entry fee is $1 for a prize of $5, and the biggest prize pool is $24 with an entry fee of $7.

Although Bingo Dash doesn’t list a minimum withdrawal amount, if your withdrawal is less than $10, you’ll pay a $1.50 fee. If you withdraw more than $10 — up to $40, you’ll pay a $0.40 fee. Larger withdrawals incur only a 1% fee, so waiting to claim your winnings is a strategic move to keep more of your earnings.

In its terms of service, Bingo Dash mentions that you may have to provide your Social Security number to complete the withdrawal process. The app may refund your original payment method or cut you a paper check (there is a $2.00 check processing fee for withdrawals under $10). The terms of service say it may take up to 90 days to complete your withdrawal.

I don’t intend to play Bingo Dash often, given the fees and long payout process. That, along with the smaller prize pools, convinced me there are better ways to make money from your phone.
