TD Bank Is Closing 38 Branches on June 5 (Is Your Location Closing?)

If you're a TD Bank customer, upcoming branch closures may affect you. The company has said it made the "difficult decision" to shut down nearly 40 of its locations on June 5, 2025, including seven sites in New York alone. TD Bank considers this move a standard business practice as it aligns its "network of stores with customer needs and preferences."

Here is a full list of the 38 TD Bank closures, categorized by state. If you live near one of these locations, you might have to find a new place to boost your bank account.

• 1289 Foxon Rd., North Branford
• 215 High St., Torrington

TD Bank plans to close two branches in Connecticut in June, leaving 56 stores in the state. The nearest store to the North Branford location is Branford, while the nearest store to Torrington is Avon.

• 1611 Wisconsin Ave. N.W.

The TD Bank branch on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, D.C., will close, leaving just eight stores in the nation's capital after next month. Customers who rely on this branch will have to travel to a nearby city location, such as Navy Yard or Georgetown.

Despite closing two branches in Florida in 2024, TD Bank plans to shut three more stores in June, including locations in Daytona Beach and Miami Beach. This will leave 376 branches in the Sunshine State.

TD Bank closed two branches in Maine in 2024. Now, four more branches will shut down in June, including the only store in Fairfield. Customers in Fairfield will have to travel to another location, such as Augusta or Newport.

Despite being one of the smallest states in the U.S., Massachusetts will see six TD Bank closures in June, including in the large towns of Framingham and Methuen. Luckily, this will still leave 281 locations in the Bay State.

Four TD Bank stores will turn off the lights for good in New Hampshire, which will leave just 50 stores in the state. A branch in Newington also closed last year.

New Jersey will see six TD Bank branches close, resulting in 273 stores in the state by June. The company also shut its only store in Roseland last year.

New York is the state with the most TD Bank closures, with seven stores disappearing in New York City and elsewhere. However, that still leaves 303 locations in the state, meaning most residents are still within driving distance from a branch.

TD Bank shut down four stores in Pennsylvania last year, and now three additional locations will close their doors, including one in Philadelphia. However, customers can still choose from 81 branches in the City of Brotherly Love.

Two branches of TD Bank will shut down in South Carolina, leaving 69 stores in the Palmetto State after June. After the closures, customers in Columbia will have four branches to choose from, while residents of Greer will have access to two banking locations.

With two closures, Virginia will now only have 19 TD Bank locations, potentially affecting residents. The company plans to shut stores in Centreville and Reston, both in Fairfax County.

TD Bank's decision to close these locations follows a similar pattern we're seeing across competitors. Consumers still have a variety of banking options at their fingertips, including the bank's mobile app and online services, where they can open a new bank account.

For those who still value face-to-face interaction, though, many banks are simply consolidating their branches rather than eliminating it altogether. The idea is to focus on building enhanced services at more strategic locations, allowing both banks and customers to find new ways to stay connected.
