Even with the closure of the South Belcher Road location, Clearwater still has four Wells Fargo branches.
3131 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd., Hallandale
Wells Fargo closed 12 locations across the country on Jan. 24, including four branches in Florida.
The branch in Hallandale was one of the locations that Wells Fargo shut down that day.
6600 Taft St., Hollywood
This Hollywood branch of Wells Fargo closed earlier this year. A couple of branches remain open in the city.
This year’s Wells Fargo closures extend a trend that ran throughout 2023. Last year, the bank closed more than 300 branches and only opened 22 branches.

The South Tennessee Avenue location closed its doors for the last time on Jan. 24.
Fortunately, there are still four branches remaining in Lakeland for bank customers to visit instead.
3990 NW 16 St., Lauderhill
The closing of the 16th Street branch leaves Lauderhill with only one Wells Fargo branch.
Customers will have to go to the branch at 5699 W. Oakland Park Blvd. to do their banking within Lauderhill city limits.

Customers like the ones who use the Wells Fargo on North Ocean Boulevard now have to find an alternate location for their banking needs. There are two other branches left in Pompano Beach.
4285 U.S. 1 Dixie Highway, St. Augustine
St. Augustine residents won’t be able to go to the Dixie Highway location that has now closed. However, they still have two Wells Fargo branches they can visit in the city.

The increasing popularity of online banking is one of the reasons branches like the one in Sarasota have struggled to keep their doors open.
3400 S. Monroe Street, Tallahassee
The South Monroe Street location was one of eight banks that Wells Fargo shut down in the country during the week of March 10.
444 Gamble St., Tallahassee
The Gamble Street location was closed the same week as the other Tallahassee closure on South Monroe Street.
7931 Gunn Highway, Tampa
Tampa’s Wells Fargo on Gunn Highway was one of three Florida locations that shuttered its doors the week of March 10.
Fortunately, there are still many other Wells Fargo branches in the Tampa area. Or, you could use the Wells Fargo website to boost your bank account from the comfort of your couch.
Bottom line
If your favorite local bank branch is closing, it is not always easy to find another location nearby. But there are ways you can still get the services you need.
